Hello Vicki, and thank you for your question. The only shades that come with a handle are the Redi Shade Artisan line, which you can find at The Home Depot. The Redi Shade White Fabric Light Filtering Pleated shades are corded, so the cord is used to raise and lower the shade. Please check out our other products at https://redishade.com/. Thank you for your interest in Redi Shade!

Hi Ide-Thank you for your question. The width can be trimmed to fit your window, however the length of the shade cannot be trimmed because of the cords run through the bottom rail. When the shade is raised to a complete open, the fabric stack measures 1". Thank you for your interest in Redi Shade.

Hi Mt-Thank you for your question. Unfortunately not every Home Depot has the necessary equipment to cut shades in store. The best way to find out if a store has trimming services is to call your local Home Depot. If that store is unable to trim the shade for you, they can most definitely send you to a store that can cut the shades for you. Hi Tori-Thank you for your question. We recommend trimming the shade with a sharp straight edged kitchen knife. The knife is able to cut through both the plastic and the fabric, without the use of scissors. As of this time, Home Depot does not offer a trimming service for temporary shades. You can also call our toll free customer care line at 1-888-608-6611 for further assistance. Thank you for your Read More

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 65 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love these! Got these for the kitchen since I didn't have time to get window treatments before we moved in. Love them! Super easy to cut and mount, and have not had a problem with them staying on (we stuck them to the vinyl edge of the window). I like the cords, as I cannot reach the windows over the counter to clip them up like the basic shades I got for the rest of the house. They are a bit pricier with the cords, but I really felt it was necessary for these windows. The color matches my kitchen well, also. They'll probably be up a lot longer than I planned on since they are doing the job so well and I won't feel the urgency to replace them! August 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Temporary Shades Very easy to put up and they look more expensive than you would think for temporary shades. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Temporary Shade It's exactly as described. For a temporary shade it looks great. I love the fact that it has a cord. I'm still not sure what type of shades I will purchase and these temp ones are great until I make up my mind. You honestly can't tell that they are paper shades, looks great. The only downside I think it's a little pricey for paper shades. $10 would have been great but it is as described and looks great. August 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This shade does the job! The shade was shipped to me in a timely manner...well packaged. Easy instructions and trimming to size was very easy to, as they have a measuring device built in on both sides of the blind, so you can trim to desired size without worry and can easily remove the measuring device after you have trimmed both sides. Simple to hang, too! Total time less than 10 minutes. It's holding up just fine...just need to be gentle when opening and closing with the blind cord. I have a 1930s door that opens up to a 3 season porch, and it has a 18" x 30" glass in the upper half of the door, so couldn't figure out a good solution for a window covering until I stumbled upon this shade...glad I did! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by inexpensive but not looking cheap Brought blinds in to home depot to have professionally trimmed to the needed width. Very easy peel and stick installation. The fabric blinds tend to buckle a bit when they go up vs simply compressing at the folds but othewise a great and inexpesive solution for privacy for a place I only will rent short term July 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fit the space; Inexpensive solution Nicer, more expensive cell and pleated shades require more depth for installation than available and would make it impossible to remove the window screens. This fit the space and provides the privacy needed. One note: do not trust the adhesive rulers on the bottom of the shade to make your cuts. I am a "measure twice; cut once" person, but made the mistake of measuring only my window twice and trusting the scale on the shade. Had to make additional trims so that it fit. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy as pie These blinds look great and were easy to install. They do not block the light. They made the light look prettier. They changed the entire room. August 9, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't waste your money I bought 3 sets of these 6 months ago and all 3 are split at the bottom and falling apart where the cords are. I don't know why they stopped making the ones with the push button cords. I have several of those that have lasted more than 4 years but this style here is horrible. I know they're temporary but I expected them to last more than 6 months. August 2, 2016
