The pictures provided look different from one another in regards to the color. What is the true color of the natural shade.
Asked by: Mary
Hi Mary-Thank you for your question! The natural fabric is a cream color, because the shade is 'light blocking' a mylar layer is adhered to the fabric to create the light blocking properties. The mylar layer also darkens the fabric to a light tan color. We provide free swatches and would love to send you a sample before you purchase. Please email the following and we will send your swatches out to you. Thank you for your interest in Redi Shade.

Hi Fefe- In Home Depot stores we do not sell the Fabric pleated shades. The Quick Fix pleated paper shades are available in store, but the fabric shades are only available online. Thank you so much for your interest in this product.

Customer Reviews

Natural Fabric Light Blocking Pleated Shade - 36 in. W x 72 in. L (4-Pack) is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the purchase For what it is, the purchase is worth making. We had a sunroom we wanted to put some blinds in but we plan on redoing the room in a couple of years. These blinds provided a temporary solution that looks much better than a sheet tacked to the wall. The clips are a bit obtrusive but they are OK. I'm not sure you could cover 10 windows for too much cheaper. We did notice on one or two of the blinds that the coloring was a bit uneven and you can see light filtering through at these spots. However, it's my experience that it's not worth the hassle of a an exchange for such a minor blemish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good choice We have white paper light filtering shades throughout our house but I wanted to get some room-darkening shades for our baby's bedroom. I was worried that it would be difficult to remove the original paper shades (I expected the adhesive to stay on the wall etc) but it was very easy, the blind went down in one piece, no sticky residue, and paint stayed on the wall! When cutting these blinds to width, I don't recommend a utility knife because the blade is too short. Any sharp knife with a longer blade works well. Do a few trial cuts to see how the material behaves under the knife before making the final cut. Installing the blinds is very easy (peel and stick), the adhesive is strong enough to hold the blind. The blinds block the light very well and darken the room efficiently. They are much sturdier than the light filtering paper blinds. The look is clean and simple. We have owned these for 1 month now, and so far we are happy with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Shade My husband and I absolutely love this product. Not only is it easy to measure and to install, but it provides the perfect atmosphere for our rooms. Though we aren't sure how long we'll have them up, in the meantime, the fabric is sturdy enough to last a long while. We are very pleased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They look great! We just moved into a house with a large bonus room that my daughter thought would make a great bedroom....until the sun came shining in at 5am! It was the only room upstairs without blinds. I came across Redi Shades and ordered the 48' 4-pack online. To trim them, I rubber-banded the ends to hold them together tightly and used a mitre box and hand saw. I cut one down to 46 inches and another into two 22" widths to cover 3 windows. They fit beautifully and so far seem to be holding in place well. She is so happy have the windows covered. The natural color goes well in the room too. I have two unused shades that I may put up behind the light filtering shades in other rooms to block out light when needed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stuck With Them Now Once the shades arrived at our Home Depot store, they cut them to the lengths we wanted. The shades fit perfectly in the three panels of 21" windows. After 3 weeks one of the shades is falling down. The adhesive is on the window trim and there is no adhesive left on the shade itself. Now I have to figure out how to stick them up without ruining the window trim. They look great both inside the house and outside. So, that's a plus. I purchased these until I'm ready to invest in some high quality wood blinds, e.g. Hunter Douglas. We have the gray, light-blocking, paper shades in a bedroom and they're holding up great, over a year. If I buy more Redi-Shades, I'll stick with the paper ones. I recommend the paper shades instead of fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed. These room darkening paper shades were just what I needed. Trimming them to fit my window width was more difficult that I imagined. If you have wide windows, I would suggest overlapping them and adhering them to each other at the overlap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product is of good quality I have not installed the shades yet, but installation looks to be quick & easy. I did hold them up to the window and they blocked the light well which was what I wanted). The material is thick and durable and will probably last for some time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Left a horrible sticky residue on window trim - I've tried everything and nothing will take it off! Do NOT BUY!! I bought these for all but two rooms in my house to use while I was waiting on my custom wood blinds to arrive. The wood blinds came in last week and imagine my surprise when I started taking down the redi shades that the adhesive was sticking to the window trim. I have goof off, a scraper and everything else I could find at the store to remove the residue and nothing will take it off. I am so mad at myself for ever purchasing these shades. Do yourself a favor and buy another product. This one will only be a hassle at some point in the future when you take it down.
