Will the sticky strip designed to stick to the window framing stick to the bottom of one shade so I can extend a shade the entire 96 inches? I need the 48 in width so it will be a heavy attachment

Answer:
Hi Kath-Thank you for your question. Yes the shades can be combined using the adhesive on the top of one shade to attach to the bottom of the other shade. The adhesive is strong enough to hold the 2 shades together. Thank you kindly for your interest in Redi Shade!

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I wanted! Came exactly as described. Easy to install. Perfect for temporary blinds, or even permanent if you wanted. August 17, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tips I am giving this 3 stars because they will not stay down without clipping them to the bottom of the window. It should clearly state that information. If someone has awning or jalousie windows, they may not be able to use these without something to clip the shades to. I ordered 2 packs of light blocking shades and 1 box of light filtering, I received all light filtering. May 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by After three weeks, the temporary blinds are still working as expected Overall I am happy with the look and performance of the temporary blinds in the 48" wide by 72" long 4 pack that I purchased at Home Depot. We don't raise and lower the blinds every day, but so far they have stood up to 14 or so cycles and I would judge they will last for many more. I'm glad to have them - with the sun lower in the sky as we move towards the autumnal equinox (and on to the winter solstice), the afternoon sun was shining in my eyes while working at my dining room table. These blinds solve that problem while we try to figure out what we will do for permanent window coverings in our new home. The fabric lets light through, but cuts the glare of the direct sun. The "natural" fabric is neutral in nature and looks fine in the window openings. In use the temporary nature of the blinds is very evident. With the length I bought, clipping the blinds all the way up is difficult because the clips open in a "V". The larger the clip needs to open, the sharper the angle of the "V", and the harder it is to get the clips to "bite" on the big chunk of blind I'm trying to hold up. I can get it to clip without popping off on all but the last 6 pairs of pleats. While clipped up, the weight of the fabric tends to pull down the unclipped pleats, distorting the folds immediately above the clips. When unclipped, the fabric drops down an uncertain amount, depending on how folded the pleats stay as the blinds hang loosely (no weight on the bottom). Leaving the clips clipped to the bottom pleat adds some weight that pulls the blinds a little lower and perhaps more consistently from window to window (my windows are 70 1/2 inches in height). The blinds don't reach the bottom of the frame because of the pleating of the fabric (they hang naturally about 2/3 of the way down). I haven't tried stretching them out all the way; I suspect that the fabric is 72 inches when completely flattened but don't want to disrupt the pleating by pulling them down all of the way. The temporary blinds were easy to cut to width (I used a cheap infomercial "Ginsu" knife), lopping a couple of inches off of the width. I found that I had to carefully remove the backing over the adhesive used to fasten the temporary blinds to the window frame; being too hasty here could pull the adhesive off of the blind instead of just the backing off of the adhesive. I chose to adhere the top pleat to the vertical part of the window frame (as opposed to the horizontal top of the window opening); nothing in the instructions indicated whether one was preferred over the other, but in my case the window frame is vinyl, not painted, and I reasoned that I had less of a worry removing the adhesive from unpainted vinyl than painted drywall. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great but fabric doesn't stick to the adhesive. Falls down frequently The shades look great when up. Easy to trim and install. However, they started to fall down within 48 hours. The adhesive is still on the window trim but the fabric shade just doesn't stick. I've had to use push pins to get them to stay up. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great! Love them I just wish the came a little wider Very easy to use November 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap way to cover any window! I'm living in a rental home that had not one window treatment. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and didn't want to attach anything to the home. I used the original Redi Shade 13 years ago and they worked well. The fabric shades are great. They look like a pleated shade without the expense. I have them in almost every room. This is a great alternative!! July 9, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Fooled by pictures This is not what I expected. This is a single sheet of paper with folds. February 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for a quick install and light shades. These were perfect to cover the window but let just enough light through. They are easy to trim and install. Also, they look great! May 7, 2013
