I really liked everything about these, except they did jot stick for very long. They block light and are not see through at all.

The only negative comment I have is for the one we hung in the bathroom. Because the paper shades have an adhesive, the moisture in the bathroom not only warps the pleats but also lessens the adhesiveness of the glue. We will likely have to continue to replace that one every 3 months or so. But, at this price, we are not complaining and totally think this has been a valuable purchase.

I haven't put these up yet, so I can't say so well they will stay up. I plan to put staples on the adhesive part to hold them up better. I didn't want to spend a fortune on my living room windows with regular blinds because my windows are so wide. I put up drapes so I may not need to use them in the living room. I will have to wait and see what it's like with just drapes. I can always use them on the enclosed porch, so either way they will get used.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dee1313 It does what I expect it to.
These are paper shades. That is it. Nothing fancy, but I didn't expect fancy. They're easy to install. They look nice. They're cheap.
I prefer these over regular blinds for three reasons:
1) I use the natural color in my living room because my curtains are see through and regular blinds leave lines when the sun shines through them
2) I use the blackout/ room darkening in my bedroom in combo with curtains because it makes my bedroom BLACK all day. Regular room darkening curtains (even the nice ones) don't cut out all the light, but combo them with the blackout or room darkening version of these and you have a black room.
3) I have cats, and cats like to crawl through blinds and behind them and bend them and break them. For some reason the cats are better with these paper ones.
Tips for installation:
-If you have a rotary cutter, use that. It is soooo much easier to cut these. It can be difficult to cut with a box cutter if you have a cheap one that doesn't have a grip on it, but a rotary cutter is the best. Scissors are very hard (especially if you're hands are weak), but do-able.
-I always keep it folded and secured with the included clips when mounting. Just line it up, press, and then let everything drop.
-I leave it with the clips on the very bottom fold for a couple days so it stretches it out. If you don't, it will slowly drop over time and you have to readjust the clips. Not a big deal, but it happens. They'll probably drop faster if you have more weight on them, but I hadn't unpacked my stuff yet.
-Also, if your window has space between itself and it's frame, cut the top fold to fit the window (it's easier to remove these from the glass than from the frame, and they cut out more light when they're in the frame). Then measure and the cut the rest so it fits in the frame.
Colors and effects:
I have the natural light (which I love because it give a nice glow to my living room rather than the harsh light), and I also have the black out ones, which are good, and I don't even have the curtains up yet. I used to have the room darkening ones combined with my room darkening curtains, and that equals a pitch black cave for a bedroom (perfect for us night shifts workers!).

These blinds exceeded my expectations. They were very easy to put up and look surprisingly great. Without a closer inspection, they do not look like they are made of paper. I would absolutely buy these again. I bought them intending them to be a brief temporary solution, but they look so good that I am in now not in a rush to spend a lot of money on high-quality blinds.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Texrambo Great shade!
Very easy to use and very sticky! Didn't come down at all! We used them for a few weeks before the shades I ordered arrived. Seemed to be pretty effective for reducing heat from afternoon/evening sun in west windows.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ridgedweller2 Does what I needed them to do
The shades are doing exactly what I needed them to do, block the sunlight, keep our place cool and provide some privacy until later this year when I hope to be able to afford to replace them with real, permanent cellular shades. I have already recommended them to a good friend who needed something very affordable to help cover some windows. They look a heck of a lot better than bed sheets tacked up over the windows! Actually, from outside looking in, they look just like a quality pleated or cellular shade. They are not difficult to cut or install, and are holding up well so far. Just keep in mind, they are PAPER, and judge them as such and you will not be disappointed.
