The temporary shades are a great product long term or short term.

The price of this temporary shade does not reflect the quality. The lift operation does not; always move evenly or completely while the lowering operation requires a significant pull pressure which caused one of the blinds I purchased to partially come off the adhesive attached placement. You must operated with slow extreme care and as other mentioned use both hands. Hopefully it will last a while. The room darkening feature does work appropriately.

I was wonderfully surprised by the pre-measurement indicators on the blinds. They look great.

We have a front window that gets sun all day, and in Arizona I mean every day! Undecided about a permanent window treatment we deciced to try this light blocking shade. I am very impressed with the shades ability to block light, we didn't expect that! We joke about the room now being the cave! Add to that the fact that it really looks great, so easy to install and operate, we're in no hurry to spend money on anything permanent. An operating tip: to raise the shade just hold the cords and push the entire shade up. To lower, don't even touch the chords, just pull the entire shade down.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by oregontex works great, easy to trim and install, looks good, good value
I was distracted by afternoon light coming through the front door and causing reflections on my living room tv. I needed something to block the light that would fit the odd size of the door glass. When I got my order, it took 10 to 15 minutes to measure the door glass and trim the shades. I pulled the backing off the adhesive at the top of the shades, stuck it on the door and I was done. Now i have a nice dark, reflection free home theater experience any time of the day. Very satisfied.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by lily Great Option if you only need temporary light blocking shades
Actually, the installation was easy, but the cutting of the shades was anxiety producing. I took the shades to the local home depot store after contacting the manufacturing website who said she was certain Home Depot could cut the shades for me. Home Depot could not cut the shades because they do not have a machine that can cut through the plastic. As it turned out, I was able to cut them with a utility knife, but I cut 2 of them a little too narrow. I suggest you cut them to the exact measurement of the inside of the window at its narrowest width. Good Luck!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Ivyto Flimsy for the price, but excellent at blocking sunlight.
The shades were very thin and the top layer began to rip on day two, but I fixed it with hot glue. They look cheap and thin up close, but are okay from a distance.
They are not so easy to cut even with a utility knife, so there are jagged edges.
The best feature is that they are great at blocking light. They do a fantastic job at that.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Marie i was looking for something that didn't need holes made, these fit the bill
I can't say anything about the long term lasting of the product. The shade was easy to adjust and install, utility knife and tape measure were all that was needed.Item looks good. I have a slight problem with the evenness it's a little difficult to get them straight when opening and closing. I used two shades for my large sliding window.
