If the first technique does not work, apply rubbing alcohol to residue and let sit for 10 minutes. Next, with a putty knife or spatula, remove residue gently to avoid damage to your window or frame. The use of plain white towels are recommended, due to the transferring of ink that may occur from using printed towels.
If the first two suggestions do not work, use Goo Gone, following the same method of application as the rubbing alcohol.

Hi there kk,
Redi Shades are made for ease of use both during installation as well as when removing. I can't say that I have ever run into trouble removing them, short of just giving them a light pull to remove. Most of the time the issue is in removing tape residue, which can be done by rolling it off with your fingers or through the use of a light adhesive remover such as Goo Gone. Read Less

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by These are NOT fabric - they are paper. Redishade makes temporary fabric blinds in addition to paper ones, and that is what I thought we ordered, since these are labeled "Fabric" by Home Depot. As it turns out, they are just very heavy, light-blocking paper. This is not what we wanted. The fabric ones are much nicer. Annoyed with this mislabeling and our purchase. August 21, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed The blinds came in a box as if it was already used but continued to install them. 3 out of 4 had holes and you couldn't see it until it was hung. Also it says fabric but it's actually like paper. It's different from the order placed. July 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for the job Easy to cut to size and a snap to install; just rip off the protective strip and press against the window frame. The blocking layer gives the shade a blue tint that works wonderfully where I'm using it. Hope I can find permanent shades the same tint. February 28, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Temporary Shade I bought this product as temporary shade for my new windows while deciding on a permanent one. I am very disappointed. The double sided tapes do not stick, thus the shades fall all the time. I had to nail them to keep them up. There were no clips provided to keep the shade raised. January 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by They look good and do the job. With no money left after a home renovation, these shades have worked out great. They look good from inside and outside and keep the bedrooms dark. It took about 1.5 hours to cut (I used a box cutter) and install shades in 20 windows. April 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product These shades are nice, easy, cost effective and do the job well. It blocks out the light as promised. Very easy to install. I put it in an odd shaped window that I had no idea what to do with. This seems to be a good fix. The clips don't stay on. I do not pull up the shade so it does not matter to me but if u are looking for a shade that can be adjusted then this is not for you. April 21, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by one big issue Based on other reviews, I knew what kind of material the shade was so I was prepared for the thicker than paper but not yet vinyl shade when I opened the box. They were simple to cut and easy to install. My only issue came a couple of days later after installation when three of the five fell down. The two sided tape stayed on the window but it came apart from the shade. The shade has a smooth side and a "fuzzy" side and I assume the tape on those three was adhered to the fuzzy side at the factory, not the smooth side and that is why they fell. I bought a heavy weight, clear two sided tape and put them back up and haven't had any problems since. They are doing a wonderful job keeping out the bright sun and have made it easier to cool my loft. For the value of the shade, I didn't mind spending a few bucks on tape to put them back up. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not happy with this product I returned these. I guess you get what you pay for, and in this case that was certainly true. If I had seen them in person I most certainly would not have purchased them. They have absolutely no hardware, to keep them raised you have to use a spring clothespin. Thought the adhesive mounting system would be a plus, but didn't get that far. June 12, 2011
