80 in. Wide Standard Under Trailer Light Kit is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from You can go to their website and ask for updated instructions. I have copied and pasted an email I got from the vender. Apparently, the lights we all got came with an old set of instructions. They can email you a set if you go to their website and request one. Hope this helps everyone out. Hello, I am sorry to hear about the situation with your light kit. This product was gone through a few updates recently. It looks like you received and updated version of the product with an outdated version of the instructions by accident. All you need to do is strip off about 3/8 of an inch of the wire coating on the ends of each wire, give them a tight twist, and plug them into the back of the corresponding larger hole in each tail light. There are two hole options for each function. It does not matter which one you choose. Each taillight has a wire nut function built into the tail light. If you ever need to release the wire, you would just use an object and push it into the smaller hole underneath the large ones. Please contact me with any further questions (updated instructions attached). Best Regards, Customer Service Cequent Consumer Products 29000-2 Aurora Rd. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lacks Necessary Connectors; Inadequate Instructions The instructions call for the tail lamps to be connected to the wiring using wire nuts. However, the package does not include any wire nuts, but, more to the point, the tail lamps do not have the necessary external wiring that would allow them to be connected with wire nuts to begin with. The instructions also fail to explain how the side lamps get connected to the wiring system, although the necessary T-connectors are in the package if you happen to be in the know. I'm sorry to say that the product is non-functional as packaged and the instructions are inadequate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this product has good features, but... I just bought the Reese Towpower model #73832. The instructions say to attach the wiring harness to the wires coming from the light assembly, but there are no wires coming from the light assembly. I'm trying to figure out how to attach the wires to the assembly, but there does not appear to be a way to hold the wire into place.. hopefully I'll have an "a-ha" moment and this will be a simple fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, simple install. A lot of posters are writing about having issues with the push in wire connections and the wire not being strong enough because it is stranded. But the real problem is the way you are trying to use the connectors, not the connectors themselves. The connections on this product are a push in, bladed connection. Once you push the wire in, the blade cuts into the sheathing to make contact and hold the wire in place. You don't need to strip the wires at all. It was a very simple install for me, and took less than 20 minutes, as my trailer had all of the wire conduits already in place. Very pleased.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from GOOD SET OF LIGHTS, BAD WIRE CONNECTION METHOD. The lights themselves are fine. The wire harness is fine. The problem is the push-in wire connections. they are similar to the push-in connections you will find on the back of a typical household 110 volt receptacle. The harness wire is 18 awg stranded core as opposed to solid core. It is very difficult to get the stranded wire to actually push into the connector and stay in there securely. I chose to use a short length of 18 awg solid core wire to stick into the push-in connector. This type of wire went in easily and felt very secure. Then I made a Western-Union splice connecting the solid core to the stranded core wire, soldered it, and covered the connection with heat shrink tubing. In order to install these lights to my satisfaction I had to buy solid core wire, heat shrink tubing, and do some extra labor. If you want it to work without fear of the wire coming loose, I suggest you do what I did, or something similar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good set of lights for the price. I purchased this light set for a neighbor's trailer. It had plenty of wire to go to to the back of a very long trailer, had good instructions and had everything I needed to install it.
