Answer:
This inserts into a 2" hitch receiver that should already be attached to the frame of the tow vehicle. If you do not have a tow package with the hitch receiver, this will not work for you.

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The only way to go if you have to pull different trailers with different ball sizes This is the best way to have the right ball when towing different trailers. I have one trailer with a 2" ball, one trailer with a 1-5/8" ball, and who knows what size I may need in the furture. I had one hitch and two balls, which meant I had to switch them out everytime I changed trailers. I thought about buying another hitch so I would only have to change the hitch but for just a little more I was able to get the Tri-Ball. Now I have the two sizes I use most and a third one in case I run accross one of those small htiches. I have included a photo showing the Tri-Ball as compared to an every day hitch and the second ball. The only drawback I found was that if you are using a hitch that raises or lowers the ball height, the Tri-Ball sits level with the receiver. So if you must raise or lower your hitch, you will need to stay with a conventional hitch. June 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VERY VERSITAL This Reese Towing Tri-Ball Ball Mount is 3 Hitches in one. It h as a 1 7/8" ball, a 2" ball and a 2 5/16" ball. It's all forged in one piece .No need for wrenches or nuts and lock washers. It is very well made and very strong. It's nice not having to carry three different hitches around. Just simply unhook hitch pin and rotate to the size you need and put pin back in. It's that simple. May 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tow hitch with three sizes built in This is a strong, powerful, useful towing hitch. Heavy and easy to attach to your vehicle. Can use it to tow up to 10,000 pounds. All black and slick looking. Looks like a quality product like used to be made decades ago - built to last. Reminds me of a blacksmith's anvil! What is cool is that it comes in three sizes so you do not need to buy any additional ones - this has them all covered. I really like that it is heavy and looks like it belongs on a tank! Attaches with a 5/16" pin. There ya go! May 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just might be the last Ball Mount you ever purchase I like the 3 in 1 approach. This pretty much guarantees you are covered regardless of what you are towing. It’s not a good feeling when you are lacking the proper equipment to help a buddy or yourself, for that matter. After my inspection, I found the quality of the ball mount to be good. The welds are strong and done correctly. The entire unit feels and looks durable. Get yourself a pin and clip if you don't already have one. I like the locking ones that will at least slow down if not completely deter a thief. I am happy with this and recommend it. May 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for different trailers We have three boat trailers and a lawn mower trailer. They have different size balls. With this trailer hitch system, we can pull a wide range of trailers. Just rotate the hitch to get a different size ball. This is a great product. The black finish looks scratch resistant. It is heavy and solid. It fits a 2” receiver. You use a ⅝” pin and clip to attach the ball mount to the receiver. This is going to make my life so much easier because we’ll always be able to find the right ball!! June 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by handy Three balls in one, what more could you need? Technically there is room for a 4th ball, I just don't know if there are four ball sizes. The hitch seems extremely sturdy. The casting and the welds on the individual balls seems to be done very well. It does not come with a hitch pin so you will need to purchase one of those separately. Also to note, if your vehicle is rather tall this may not work for a long haul as there is no offset slope with this style of hitch. I will mainly use this for when i need to help someone move some stuff around and they don't know what size ball I need to bring. April 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Three Tow Balls In One Unit The Reese Tow-power Tri-Ball comes with three tow balls 1-1/8", 2" and 2-5/16" in one easy to use unit. The unit is very well made from heavy duty steel and painted black. This unit does not come with a tow hitch but I purchased one from Home Depot. This unit installed in seconds, slid perfectly into my tow bar. This tool takes the chore of having to carry and change towing balls out of your life. Its nice feeling that I will have the right size ball for what every I need to tow. April 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Black Tri-Ball mount for every consumer level towing need! I just received the new Reese Tri-Ball Towing Mount for my truck and it fits perfect. I have a new camper and a utility trailer, both able to get pulled with this new mount. You can pull up to 2000 pounds on the 1-7/8" ball and up to 10,000 pounds on the 2-5/16" balls. (This stat is from the company). Painted black, incredibly sturdy, but does not come with the hitch pin and clip to mount it. If you don't already have this pin, I suggest that you order the 5/8" pin set, Model # 7010500 from Home Depot. Out of the box, I was able to walk right out to my truck, slide it into my hitch, add the pin and clip (from previous old mount) and use right away. My camper connected to it perfectly. It's a simple device that will make all the difference when towing. April 6, 2016
