Yes, but only if your dining room table's main duty is as a showpiece. You will need more layers of protection if your dining room table handles daily traffic.

Answer:
It will a little bit. I had some areas where it looked like the finish had worn off and this improved the appearance. It will build up if you go over it again. It's not the same as refinishing, but a decent stop-gap.

I have used this product for several years and have never had a problem like that. Perhaps you might try when applying to do so in one straight swipe. Also buffing is not necessary. I hope this answe helps.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 104 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product if used right Be sure to clean the wood first. I used a mild cleaner, then let wood dry 1 hour. The first surprise: the stuff runs like water! Open the bottle carefully! I tried the applicator but found it clumsy. Instead I used a new sponge slightly dampened and it worked much better. I let the cabinets dry about a half hour, then did a second coat. I ended up doing three coats. It has a low sheen, not a high shine, but no buffing was needed. I was happily surprised that my 25 year old oak cabinets looked much better at the end; clean and shiny. I can't say it hides scratches unless they are very light scratches. For that I'd use a scratch cover. July 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very happy with it. I used it on my kitchen and bathroom cabinets and they really did look nice. You would never know that our kitchen cabinets are 30 years old. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous for cabinet restoration Getting ready to sell house. Cleaned early 1990's cabinets with purple Super Clean to get grime off, particularly around handles and edges. Then wiped on a few coats of Rejuvenate and the cabinets look like new with a lovely gloss that looks like it was buffed. No elbow grease needed. Cabinets are maple with polyurethane. March 11, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Restorer doesn't restore! I returned this product. WD40 does a better job of taking off oil . August 9, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by furniture restorer This product seemed to clean the furniture of old polish, but did not leave a glossy finish to the wood at all. For the price and how it was advertised, the result was disapointing, a regular Pledge type polish has better results for a fourth of the price. July 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works great with light color furniture I tried this product on various cabinets and furniture items at my place. Overall, I found it to work great with the lighter colored cabinets where it provides great shine and hides blemishes (see pictures). However, I did not see the same results with the darker furniture that I tried. The product however is very easy to apply and use with the supplied mitt applicator. Overall would definitely recommend this for lighter colored cabinet and furniture. November 3, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A good satin finish for your wood furniture The product works good for lightly scratched wood furniture or cabinets. Will not hide scuff marks or deep scratches. Follow the instructions as stated and you will have good results. However, this product is limited in restoring fine wood furniture to pristine condition if the furniture or cabinets has been gently used. Not recommended for faux wood products. October 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product!!!! This was an amazing purchase. I was very skeptical because there are a lot of gimmicky products out there, but this stuff is the real deal. I bought it with the intention of using it on the kitchen cabinets, but ended up using it on all of my wood furniture. The one drawback is that its not very viscous, so the product comes out quickly. Make sure you let dry for 20 mins!!! May 24, 2016
