This manufacturer makes a specific product for tile. I would check directions for usage on product bottle for tile. Personally I would not use the wood floor restorer on tile.

You can buy food grade mineral oil and spread it on then wait for it to absorb then another layer. Keep it up until it no longer absorbs oil.
You can use Waterlox if you need to seal/finish wood counter tops. Get it at HD.

Answer:
Clean with Rejuvenate wood floor cleaner or a mixture of vinegar and water. 1/2 cup of white vinegar to 1 gallon of warm water, Don't soak the floor, just use a damp mop or cleaner pad.
Of course you will still see deep scratches but less noticeable.

I have "well worn" spots and others that are not so worn. Do I need to strip or sand to get an even surface or will this blend with "character"?

Clean then use the Rejuvenate Pro high gloss wood restorer, see if the worn spots still stand out too much for your liking, if so, sand and refinish.

The most important thing to do before application is to clean the floor thoroughly. Well worn spots will blend with character but gorges and deep scratches will need to be sanded.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 115 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by beautifully restored! Super easy to brush on, shined the wood beautiful and hydrated again! Left photo is two coats vs right none June 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Makes wood floors glossy, aaand squeaky I've used the Rejuvinate products for years and have had great results on new floors and my 60+ yr old wood floors. Follow the instructions and use the recommended products and it should work as advertised. I once used a fiber cloth dust mop to spread the product and it didn't look as well. Use the mop cover method. To make sure the cover lasts for more than one use, rinse it out immediately after applying the product, otherwise it gets hard or stiff as the clear coat product dries on it. I used it over worn 60+ yr old wood floors. I used a paint scraper to remove paint splatter and marks and lightly sand some parts that someone tried to spot repair. If you have anything on your floor like paint or blemishes, I would suggest taking care of them before applying this product. I tried this product as a last ditch effort before hiring someone to sand down and refinish my floors, they were that bad. (see pictures) I never did have to professionally refinish them. This product isn't slippery, it actually makes your floors less slippery, which brings me to the only downside I've had with this product: squeaky floors. Between the floor cleaner, vacuuming and the shine/polish, the floor is literally squeaky clean. I've tried oily cleaners (lemon oil, orange oil) which made the wood floors quiet again but those types of products dull over time, and are slippery. I guess another down side is to "neatly" apply the product. Don't rush it or splash the product around. You will definitely see it coat furniture legs or baseboards. It IS a type of polyurethane coating but I haven't tried to wash it off anything I accidentally got it on. May 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by High Gloss Hardwood Flooring Product works a advertised. My hardwoods have a beautiful shine when I use this product after cleaning. My hardwood floors are about 9 yrs old, have seen better days. Only negative is the product is pricey. It is not a cheap way to get hardwoods to shine. But, have not found anything cheaper that does as good a job. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product!! It really works!! This is an amazing product!!! I thoroughly cleaned my floors and then cleaned them again with the rejuvenate cleanser and when the floors were fully dry I then used this product. I am still amazed at how beautiful my floors look!!! We had faded areas and scratches especially by the dining area and it looks amazing!!!! The product does not make your floors oily or slippery!! My husband could not believe the difference in our floors!!! Now I'm going to do all of our bedrooms!!! I'm not sure how long this will last but even if I have to do it every few months it's totally worth it!!! May 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ruins hardwood floors I used this product to make my refinished hard wood floors shinier. DO NOT use this product on Hard wood floors that have been refinished by staining and using polyurethane. This product leaves behind a was film that will dull over time and can not be removed unless you strip and resand and refinish them. I tried ammonia, vinegar, mineral spirits. Nothing removes it! This is a horrible product. At first they looked great, but after time the floor looks terrible. May 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product does exactly what it says. beautiful floors once again May 31, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't waste your money I bought this product to because it says it fills in scratches. It did just the opposite. It did not fill in even the smallest scratches & because it made the floor shinier it seemed to cause the scratches to stand out even more than before applying this product. If all you want is a shiny floor, buy Mop & Glo for half the price. April 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Exceeds my expectations This product is awesome. I have tried everything on my floor and this is the best so far. It restores the beauty of the wood and made it super shiny. I could have given it 5 star if not for the price however cause it's much cheaper in menards. Other than that Im glad i used this for my floor. April 20, 2016
