Answer:
YES! I hand scrubbed the floors with vinegar and dish soap, then cleaned them with the Rejuvenate Floor Cleaner and *then* applied two coats of the restorer. If you don't do the prep work, you will end up sealing in the dirt on your floors, which is not the goal!

Yes, the better you clean it the better your results will be. I vacuumed carefully then mopped. You don't want any dirt on the floors as it will get stuck in the finish.

Floors that have a lot of residue or build-up from the previous use of other floor care products may require a second cleaning. After the floor has been thoroughly cleaned, allow it to dry completely. To apply Rejuvenate and get that “Showroom Shine”, follow the directions on the bottle and ALWAYS test Rejuvenate on a small, inconspicuous area first. Read Less

Is this product good for very old 1934 hardwood floors?

The floors have lots of wear marks from years of use and little care. I don't need perfect floor result, but just something that looks nice and reflects the character of the old original floors.

Answer:
Yes! I am using this on our 1923 hardwood floors. Some of the floors have been refinished over the past 94 years, but others have not. This works really well to help bring life back to the floors with different finishes. We are planning to do a complete refinish in a few years (to get closer to the perfect floor result), but for now, this product is doing a great job!

I would suggest looking for some brand names online such as Stain Solver or Charlie's Soap Oxygen Bleach. Read Less

Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for your interest in our wonderful line of products. Our Rejuvenate Professional Satin Finish Wood Floor Restorer will not remove the water stains on your floors. For small water marks you might want to use our Rejuvenate Ring Markers to remove them and then use our Floor Restorer.
I hope this information has been helpful.

This product was great for bringing new life to our 94-year-old hardwood floors. While this product is not going to give you the same results as a complete restoration of the floors (which is time consuming with sanding, staining, and applying poly), it does a great job at bringing back some shine and protection with minimal input. To apply this product, I first hand scrubbed our floors, used the Rejuvenate Floor Cleaner, and then applied this product. Rather than buying the microfiber bonnet, I just used a microfiber towel. I applied two coats and it looks and works great! The floors are easier to keep clean and I have not yet noticed any scratches as we move things around in our house or play with our dog.

I chose the Rejuvenate in the satin finish because it said the more coats you used would add to the shine. I used 3 coats over two days and did not but any furniture on the floor for 48 hours. What a beautiful finish it left. It's only been two weeks but I am pleased with the results. I applied it with a a micro fiber mop I already had at home. They are the type that stick on the head with velcro and can be removed and washed. I have two of them and rotate them while washing the other. It worked perfectly. Just follow the instructions on the bottle...it's very simple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied I used this product on fir flooring that was in bad shape and it should have been sanded and refinished. I used a hand sander lightly to rough up the surface then used a micro fiber cloth and rejuvenate cleaner let it dry with a fan 20 minutes or so then used the satin wood restorer with three coats and the floors look new. It only took about a half hour between coats with a fan blowing across the room. On flooring that only has light wear one coat will do. I will use this to keep my floors looking new from now on

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this stuff I previously used the all floor restorer but ran out during the process. Then i discovered there was a specific wood floor restorer. I used this as a second coating and the floors just blasted with shine! Has a professional look without the professional cost.
