Is this product good for very old 1934 hardwood floors?

The floors have lots of wear marks from years of use and little care. I don't need perfect floor result, but just something that looks nice and reflects the character of the old original floors.
Asked by: JW
I used this on a floor that was probably that old or older and it worked well where there was still finish.

I'm afraid the floor will get slippery

You claim it improves traction...does that mean my floor will be less likely to cause me to slip on it?
Asked by: pvvdds
Yes, this product will make it less likely that you will slip.

I chose the Rejuvenate in the satin finish because it said the more coats you used would add to the shine. I used 3 coats over two days and did not but any furniture on the floor for 48 hours. What a beautiful finish it left. It's only been two weeks but I am pleased with the results. I applied it with a a micro fiber mop I already had at home. They are the type that stick on the head with velcro and can be removed and washed. I have two of them and rotate them while washing the other. It worked perfectly. Just follow the instructions on the bottle...it's very simple.

Our tile floor was hazy from a bad cleaning crew who used some chemical on the floor that was sticky. So we removed it with vinegar and water, then vacuumed and steam cleaned. Then we used the rejuvenate cleaner and then applied this product. So it was a 4 step process, but outcome is excellent. Beautiful shine, resistant to traffic marks, and floor feels good under foot, no sticky residue. Again, key is to have a super clean floor and to apply consistently and with proper amount of product.

We were really pleased with the results of using this on oak floors of various ages. The finish was restored very nicely. I did follow the directions and used the Rejuvenate cleaner before applying this restorer. I also used the rejuvenate bonnets that are placed over sponge mops. They worked well. In an area where the finish was worn off the floor the floor looked a little better but the floor in that area still needs refinishing. For us the satin worked quite well giving more of a deep luster instead of gloss.

It was "just ok". It was a liquid I put on the floor, and it made it look darker, a little. To get detailed, it left dry looking streaks, and in some areas it did not. We figured it may be due to the floor not being cleaned. We had gotten down on our hands and knees and cleaned it cindarella-like with their cleaning product. Enough words, it just didn't do it for me.

I was hesitant to try this because I didn't want my floors to have my real wood floors to have that fake shiny finish. I used the Satin Finish and love the results. My floors are almost 10 years old and since I live with one dog and two cats there was some wear. They now look brand new and the sheen is perfect - lusterous, but not shiny, shiny. Will use again -- best recommendation I can give.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! I created an account just so I could review this product. I tried this product, hoping it would spruce up a 50 year old hardwood floor. I had tried other products, but they left it looking hazy. I tried Rejuvenate and after a couple coats, the floor was beautiful! It almost looks new. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to anyone who wants excellent results.

Buying this product was the BEST thing I could have done if not investing in professional restoration. This product was a breeze to apply and spread and the result was FANTASTIC! Two Thumbs up to the folks who produced Rejuvenate products: cleaners as well as restorer products.

I bought Rejuvenate to try it, though I doubted it would work. After one coat, I was impressed enough to buy it again for another. It looks great. Glad I bought the satin finish - it’s shiny enough! I’ll buy it again!
