This is the first steam cleaner I've ever used and I'm glad I tried this Enviromate BRIO out.
Out of the box there is no major assembly needed, the cleaner is ready to go as soon as you fill the tank with water using the included pitcher and funnel and let it heat up. Attachments snap on and off quickly and simply.
The cleaning wand and the pressure tank/control housing is easy to pick up with it's integrated handle and it also rolls on the floor without hassle thanks to the well thought out large rear wheels and a front swivel caster. It feels well built, stable and solid. The cleaning wand hose is roughly five feet long and the power cord is approximately 15 feet long. Giving you an excellent amount of range.
There are a total of 20 accessories that came with my BRIO. Attachments that allow you to clean floors, fabric, drapes, windows, grills, wheels, baths and just about anything else you can think of. It even has scrapers and pinpoint tools that let you get into every nook and cranny. It all stores in a large fabric bag they give you.
After picking an attachment that suits what you'll be cleaning and filling the tank with water (the manual says you can use tap water), turn on the cleaner. When the indicator light turns green and the pressure gauge is in the yellow area, you're ready to steam. Total time from cold to ready was 15 minutes. Pull the trigger of the cleaning wand (holding it AWAY from you and anyone else of course) and a bit of hot water will purge from the line. Once steam flows, you're all set. Steam flow can be adjusted with a large knob on the side of the pressure tank housing depending on if your surface needs a little bit or a lot of cleaning.
With a full tank of water you'll have about 30-45 minutes of cleaning time. It's all dependent on how much you open the steam knob. The tank takes just over 2 pints of water.
I really like cleaning with this machine. You don't need to air out the room or worry about fumes like you do with chemical cleaners since it just uses tap water. It takes off deep grime from a gas grill, and can reduce bathroom shower lime scale to a liquid that you can just wipe away with a rag. Excellent!
My favorite features are all the attachments that have covered everything we've wanted to clean. We can go from cleaning the sink and stove, to steaming the inside of the oven and then snap on the floor cleaner and steam the kitchen floor, all on one tank of water. It blasts away the dirt with very little scrubbing.
If you're looking for a deep cleaning machine and want to get rid of all the harsh chemicals without sacrificing that all around sterile clean, grab this compact BRIO steam cleaner.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by Neelam Versatile, great steam power
The EnviroMate BRIO has great cleaning power which I did not expect since I have a steam mop with which I was satisfied. The hard wood floors were cleaned superfast with no drag or exertion. I believe the fabric that comes with the unit is smooth and reduces friction unlike the microfiber of my previous steamer which permitted a good scrub for sneaker scuff marks. Another difference was a minimal swiveling head to get around curves and corners like the base of the toilet or vanity. With the previous steamer I was easily able to clean under the kitchen bar stools without moving the furniture. To address the lack of the easy swiveling there are other attachments specifically for tighter areas and multiple cleaning applications.
This unit has made bathroom cleaning SUPERFUN! I thoroughly enjoy seeing the unsightly stains just disintegrate with the power of steam. Bathroom attachment allowed me to scrub without much force. The bristles on the attachment did seem to bend and lose shape after cleaning 2 ½ bathrooms which was concerning since this is a pricey item. I put the toilet brush in a bag so I do not mix it up with my kitchen cleaners. It would have been nice if the brushes were color coded or labeled so bathroom items do not accidentally transition to the kitchen.
The hard water stains on the bathroom shower doors did not change one bit despite using the highest power setting and the squeegee seemed slip out of place when in use. The nozzle attachment knocked out the mold and mildew in crevices and cracks of the shower door. Superb cleaning there since I have never been able to get a brush scrub into those tight spaces. The faucets were sparkly new after the highest steam setting so that was definitely awesome.
Kitchen cleaning was a breeze in certain areas and not very effective in others. The microwave interior cleaned up beautifully but the stove not so much. The counter surfaces and kitchen sink were spotless after the steam and wiping clean with a towel. It used to take hours to defrost my freezer for seasonal cleaning but took less than 10 minutes with this steamer.
Now some reviewers mentioned that this unit offers too many attachments which are confusing. Disagreed, think about it, more attachments simply mean versatility. This unit can adapt itself in a wide variety of applications due to these attachments.
The power cord is short and does seem to get in the way of the wheels and makes the task a bit clumsy with repositioning the unit on the floor. The quality of the attachment of the power cord to the unit is also questionable since it was loose right out of the box. I pushed the rubber edging back into place and was more mindful of the cord pull. Also the plastic extension rods do warm up so I kept my hands away from the seam.
Exhausted from cleaning and yet the unit has so many other uses I have not tried yet. I do look forward to trying the unit on my car seats interior, mattresses, pillows, couches, curtains, windows and the list seems endless. I am an asthma/allergy sufferer and believe this unit is a life saver since steam does kill mold, mildew, dust mites, bacteria, and viruses. Definitely intend to use after playdates on toys shared with other children to reduce illness in the home. As skeptical as I was, the unit has opened my eyes to a new kind of clean and I am a chemical convert in the making. STEAM POWER!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by Melissa lots of attachments!
This is a small, easily portable, light steamer. But, it is only a steamer. It does not have any capacity to vacuum up after it distributes the steam, so I am not really recommending it for carpet cleaning. I would highly recommend it for tile, glass and upholstery. I have been using it on my bathrooms quite a bit. It is small, so easy to maneuver around the bathroom. The hose is long, the tank holds a lot of water, so it can steam for awhile and it comes with a lot of attachments - which is critical for hard to remove stains. It did a beautiful job on some tough tile stains and grout stains.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by Oneydee Handles our wood floors with ease!
We have been looking for a steam cleaner that could handle a large area of wood flooring. The Brio cleaner has met our expectations. There is excellent steam, adjustable steam pressure and a reasonable amount of work time provided between refills. One issue is that you have to wait for the "boiler" to cool before you can add water and then reheat again. I didn't realize how dirty my floors were until I started using this Brio. For someone who is looking for a steam cleaning device I can recommend the Brio

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by JamesC Cleans well without the use of toxic, harsh chemicals or noxious fumes.
This is my first steam machine, and I have to say that Iâm impressed at how easy it was to use, and how well it cleaned. My linoleum, tile, and hardwood floors appeared clean, but I didn't realize how dirty they actually were until I started using the BRIO outfitted with the included rectangular tool with cloth covering. Itâs important to ensure that surfaces (especially wood) are sealed and can take high heat and moisture before steaming, to avoid damage. Even though my hardwood flooring is sealed, I was concerned the BRIO steamer would ruin the gloss finish or cause gaps between the boards, but it worked well and didnât cause any damage. After filling the reservoir with cool tap water, the BRIO takes about 7 minutes to heat up. An easy-to-read gauge on top of the BRIO helps you keep track of the pressure amount while you are steaming. Iâd seen a few steamers demonstrated on infomercials, and while they cleaned well, they all left the floors wet. The steam produced by the BRIO is dry and didnât leave the floor wet, and the hose didnât leak; two things I was very concerned about. The BRIO is compact and rolls around on 2 large rear wheels and a single swivel caster in the front. The BRIO includes 21 accessories and attachments for every job and a tote bag for storage. The 18-foot cord is sufficiently long, but the 6 foot flexible hose isnât detachable and was a bit short for some hard to reach areas I wanted to clean that required a longer reach. I outfitted the BRIO with the brass brush attachment to clean my outdoor barbeque grill, portions of which had not been given a thorough cleaning in years. My expectations were pretty low, since backyard grills that have seen years of use arenât easy to clean, and usually require copious amounts of noxious heavy-duty degreaser and a lot of time and elbow grease, but the BRIO exceeded my expectation in removing much of the charred black stuff that had caked up on the back wall of the grill with very little effort on my part, using regular tap water. The only con, I suppose, is that BRIO produced more noise than expected due to the constant discharge of pressurized steam, but the noise level isnât louder than a kitchen appliance such as a blender or mixer. The BRIO will steam for about 30 minutes before requiring a refill. The exterior of the BRIO, including the wheels, is constructed of durable plastic. Looks and feels like a quality steamer. Cleans well without the use of toxic, harsh chemicals or noxious fumes.
