The Steamboy Pro was super easy to assemble. If you're using on hard floors be use and remove the carpet glider first. It comes with that installed on the bottom and just snaps off. The water reservoir is easy to remove, fill and replace. It's ready to go to work in seconds after plugging it in and turning it on. It has a light indicator when it's ready for use. It produces lots of steam. Comes with extra microfiber cleaning pad. I love the stand alone feature. I used this on hardwood floors. It has a brush head for scrubbing and also a carpet glider for steaming carpets. I don't have any carpets so haven't tried that feature.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Aroyals Heats up quickly and easy to use
Takes about 5-10 minutes to put together out of the box, fill with water, then ready to use. You just hold the handle down for 30 seconds and the steam is ready to go. We have almost all hardwood floors in our 1400 sq ft house with tiles in the bathrooms and kitchen. One fill up is enough to do the whole house. There is an attachment for use on carpet but I haven't had a place to use it yet. Steam gets hot enough to clean up dried messes on the kitchen tile. Head is sleak enough to fit under my kitchen cabinets. Comes with two washable mop pads.
Only complaint is that I miss the clean fresh smell when I mop with a cleaner like pine sol. The instructions say to only use water, but it would be nice to be able to add something that gave off a clean smelling scent so I get that 'reward' when I'm done cleaning.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Oceanside Good value and nice home unit for steam cleaning floors
This Steamboy pro is easy to assemble and use. Just put water in the tank, turn it on and give it about 30 seconds to heat up and it is ready to go.
It has a microfiber pad on the bottom and a brush on top of that for scrubbing.
You need to vacuum or sweep the tile floor first, because there is no suctioning of large particles.
Smaller dirt sticks to the pad and with applying pressure you can do a heavier scrubbing. The one drawback is it does not remove stuck on particles from the kitchen floor, but mopping doesn't either and this leaves the floor cleaner than a mop.
The instructions also say it works on carpets, but I only use it on my ceramic tile floors.
This unit has a nice long power cord so I can clean the entire kitchen and entry room tiles without having to move the cord.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PJCC Hot, Steady steam for cleaning areas that need to be sterilized and uneven surfaces.
Makes deep cleaning around pets and on rough surfaces or stained tiles easy.
The Steamboy Pro arrived well packed in a descriptive box, easy to assemble. You need to learn one thing to make this work , how to fill it with water, pictured!
My old carpet had been filled with beer and smoke from the person who previously died here. At first I was very excited about painting the bare cement, until I saw it. It's rough and cracked. The cracks allow bugs to come in the house.
When I write that I need a product it's because of builder's flaws, settling around the house from being built on reclaimed land and crippling pain I'm having from all the work that needs to be completed. If I write a product works that means it is easing the pain from my Rheumatoid Arthritis and cleaning.
Where the floor couldn't be deep cleaned because of a rough uneven cement, the Steamer's bare scrubbers have been taking a beating. After a couple of weeks they're not bending and they clean easily. Let it cool, it gets hot, in between cleanings. The steam is high heat, it flows out consistently. I stop to clean the bottom and refill the water.
The Steamer Pro came with 2 pads that clean tile with no effort. The 2 well sewn pads can be washed in a machine repeatedly. They stick on the bottom and pull off quickly and don't move while cleaning.
With no indoor carpets, I haven't used the extra piece that came attached to the Steamer called a Glider It fits on the Steamer bottom to raise it up for carpets.
The steam takes the grime off the bare cement. This is just a steamer and like other steamers you need to sweep and clean the floor first. The shape allows it to work well with corner dirt but it only pushes corner dirt around, some extra bending needed.. This can be said of other steamers as well.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Becca STEAMBOY PRO 3-IN-1 STEAM AND SCRUB
The floor steamer successfully cleaned my very dirty white tiled floor. I was impressed with how quiet and efficient it was. My only suggestion would be to develop a way for the steamer to continue to produce and eject steam without having to continually press the handle's trigger. After a few minutes time, holding the trigger becomes painful. All in all, however, I would definitely recommend this steamer to a friend.

Even for a small area, it is faster to use the Steamboy than either a sponge mop or a wet rag. Got it because a favorite magazine, This Old House, recommended it. Not disappointed. Definitely a good value for the money, although it is too new to know how long it will last. Very happy now however. Definitely like not using any cleaning chemicals.

So much easier and lighter than a bucket and sponge mop!! Use it on linoleum floors, which no one had addressed in past reviews. It worked really well, but doesn't leave the super shine that the "Once and Done" soap does. I'll solve that somehow.

I'd been using traditional sponge-mops to clean my tile floors, and microfiber pads on my wood floors. I like that I can use one device for both. The unit is simple to assemble and heats-up quickly, requiring only tap water. Your floors will be a bit "moist" afterwards; I've been using an old towel to dry them after steam-cleaning.
