Does this panel have any provision for a generator with the neutral bonded to ground? In other words, when the transfer switch is in the generator position, will the neutral-to-ground connection be made at both the service panel and the generator, creating a loop and potentially tripping the GFCI outlets?

This is a two-pole transfer switch where the hot legs are switched from utility to generator and the neutral is not switched. Grounding of the neutral in the panel is determined by the installer. Generally the neutral will be grounded if the panel is used as a service entrance and not grounded if it is installer after the service entrance. Answer:
Yes, the generator breaker can be changed as long as the replacement is the same brand and series as the original circuit breaker. However, this is not necessary in your application. The 60 amp generator breaker will work great with a 50 amp generator and leave room for future upgrades.

Answer:
Yes, you can safely use almost any generator up to 60 amps (15000 watts). Your 30 amp generator will work fine provided it has a four wire 120/240 volt output (two hots and a nuetral, plus ground).

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Breaker Box... Extremely well built breaker box. The box weighed a ton with the solid copper bus bar and thick metal outer shell. A great safety feature is the back-feed mechanism that makes it impossible to have the 200-amp breaker and the transfer breaker on at the same time. Square D Homeline breakers fit like a glove. I highly recommend this box to anyone who wants a generator to power their entire breaker box and not just a few circuits. November 25, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well Built panel Installed the new panel this weekend. It is well built and has all the space you need for a 200 amp service. Only issue was when I switched over to test the generator, one of the watt meters did not work. Switched wires between current transducers and found one of the transducers to be bad. Called Reliance this morning and they said they would send me a nee transducer. Great product, GREAT customer service. September 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product This is a super high quality product. It does exactly what I wanted it to do. By using this I did not have to set a sub panel for emergency circuits or buy and additional transfer switch. I can select what circuits I want to backup and change at any time. June 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great breaker box This box does it all. It has the generator transfer switch built right in and provides the watt meters so I can get maximum power out of my generator with out fear of overloading it. It is nice to have it all in one closed box. October 18, 2011
