My brother in law has had the same Home Warning System for about 3 years and it has worked several times for him. I was surprised to find the same model number was still available. I installed the Home Warning Sensor on Tuesday and had a power outage on Friday night while were on vacation two states away and I got the call on my cell phone. I had my brothers number (who lives close to my house) for the 3rd contact so he could take care of the issue. Was very pleased that it worked as it was suppose to while away from home. When ordering on line, Home Depot had free shipping to home so I was able to get it to my house and installed before leaving on vacation.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Th3rdson So far, so good ....
We experienced a water problem in our basement that caused $14K in damage. The reviews on water alarms w/ phone dial up are few and far between. I considered both the Reliance alarm and Ideal brand alarm. For no particular reason I went with the Reliance. The hook up took me so extra effort because we have no active phone line. Our phone is tied to our internet / cable line. I had not thought of this in advance. For my work around I used the RCA 940 wireless jack system. Both the Reliance and the RCA are working well so far. I have tested the system for water only and it works as described. I still want to test it to see if I can trigger it to dial the 2nd and 3rd contact numbers. I would recommend - I have not had long enough to rate excellent.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dart If it works for a few years, I'll rate it higher
We're gone from home months at a time and while our son checks on it, we recognize he can't be there every day. This seemed ideal. I ordered the unit online, had it sent to my son's business. He installed it with no problem & put both of our cell phone #'s in. I've never seen it so I can't send a picture but it sure seems like a great solution to our concerns

Don't know how it operates until a crisis occurs so, I hope it never happens. We have tested it and found it does the job.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mk123 Excellent Dialer
This dialer is an excellent choice for monitoring your sump pump as well as receiving notice that your home lost commercial electrical power. Works everytime. Once it senses high water or loss of commercial electrical power, it will out-dial in a matter of a few minutes to notify you. Also easy to install and program. Great product for any home with a sump pump and/or concerned about loss of electrical power!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Danpur3 Is what I was looking for
I have not tried the temperature alarm but the other two alarms work fine and so does the sequence of calling the three phone numbers.
I did have a problem programming the phone numbers. I needed to hold the buttons till the indicated light response took place and not just listen for the tone.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mike It is not as easy to install as I thought it would be.
If you still have a desktop computer with DSL, The appliance has to be installed upstream of routers and computers. This limits where you place the controls.
