It assembled easily, started easily and cuts just like it should. You won't take down a giant oak, but for trimming it works just fine. Like all of my gas powered tools, I drain the gas out and run it dry every time to prevent this lousy gas we get from deteriorating the fuel system. I have found that to be very effective over the past 3 years...no problems.

This thing sure did a fine job helping me with the hurricane clean up, starts great & runs smooth, I also got the string trimmer & edger attachments, change over of attachments a piece of cake! Just make sure you mix the oil exactly right to get years of good service, don't over or under do the mixture.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pole saw I have a Remington chainsaw as well and I love their products. At first they are alittle hard to start but after the first few uses they break in nicely. My chainsaw normally fires up after the normal priming, same as this one. Just wish it came with another extention pole or make the one included longer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from After over one year, the saw still work as expected I used this pole saw for over year before providing a review on this. Before purchasing this pole saw, I was a little bit skeptical since there were not so many feedback on this product at the time. First few months when I brought it home. I used it pretty extensively - trim up small branch on a 3 15-year old maple tree. A couple of day ago, took it out to use again. It starts up pretty quick, after sitting in the garage for most of winter. Everything functioned right off the batch. One small flaw in the design that the chain and its cover can be easily logged up with bark and tree chip. So you need to stop and clean it out often. Otherwise, your chain will get dislodged.

I purchased this because of the price - and regretted it almost immediately upon using. The chain tensions screw seems to loosen more than is necessary, the chain slipped off several times with the recommended use case, and the design is crummy because chain mechanism housing can fill with sawdust quickly (limiting usage). This product would be sufficient for small branches (less than 3"), anything above and you will not be happy. If that is your use case just get a nice manual pole saw and be done with it. This is rated for branches 4" in diameter and less, if you are looking to do anything larger, this product will not be suitable. Would encourage buyers to get a larger blade with a more powerful engine if you are looking at doing serious branch trimming.

Had to loosen the blade tension once engine was running for the saw to run. Still having trouble coordinating the speed of the saw with the engine speed. Highest speed of engine (1) will not even turn the saw. The middle (2) speed does turn the saw but takes time for the engine speed to reach the saw. Still working on adjustments but definitely not a ready to run unit. Still need to try it with the extender attached. Would not recommend it at this point.
