I purchased it with the 100' cord, and have cleared dead trees to the back of my property, used the 8' extension pole for the front of my house to cutback limbs which were in need of removal since they were too close the house, and expect many, many more times for use which will offset any cost for the product... Wait! I already paid for the product in my first project which was trimming back overgrown citrus trees. Yes, I had a tree limb removed after a storm broke a branch on my eucalyptus, and it cost me $150.00. The "professionals" had a Stihl pole saw. My Remington is well-designed, easy to use, easy to maintain (and should be maintained and cleaned after each use, as well as oiled throughout performance), and I love the design. I am all about design for the intended use, and this is perfect for the homeowner with a thriving, and sometimes overgrown landscape. Important: I did read the manual prior to even thinking about using the saw -- it is still a saw and can cause injury.

Little heavy on the pole than I thought, but usable. Chain jump off couple of times, but that's because it got so loose I think. Was able to put back on and continue cutting though. Can't find the window to view the chain oil. Cut some bit limbs, thought it would choke, but it powered right thru them. Over all good little saw.

Chainsaw with fully extended handle is too heavy at the end to be practical. 2. Clamping levers to tighten length of handle extension are only plastic, and only a quarter inch across near pivot and hollow. One snapped off with first use. Metal levers would solve this design defect. Remington should be seeing this review; not just customers.

The manual oiler is not as good as on other saws I have had, it left a puddle where it was stored. The reservoir may have leaked out. I like double nuts holding the bar in position.

It is extremely easy to use and cuts up branches easily. The directions are simple and it took no time at all to put together. The saw with the pole attached is a little heavy for me (I am a female), but without the pole, I have no trouble using it. This is a good investment for those who don't want to hire someone to trip trees. I am definitely pleased.

The Pole Saw is very easy to use in cutting tree limbs that are even as large as 12" in diameter. It is very well built & has a positive procedure to adjust the chain & keep it working. I would highly recommend this to anyone, that has a large number of trees to keep the low hanging branches trimmed.

The only thing that prevented me from rating it 5 stars was the weight when fully extended. Very difficult for me to handle. Otherwise first rat tool.
