This is a good saw for the money - I like the fact that the saw is removable from the pole I also like the fact that the pole extends. The one minor issue I had with saw is the clamp for the pole extension broke, it's plastic and not very strong HOWEVER I called remington and they sent me a replacement plus a spare, I will be a bit more careful with that piece. Additionally, that clamp is not really needed because you can use an allen wrench instead.
Overall a good saw for the price, the customer service seemed very good and I would recommend and actually would buy the same product again.

I like that it can be used as a hand held chainsaw or as a pole saw. My 1st use was a good experience until I mounted it in the pole saw bracket without retracting the switch. The switch broke and now I can't turn it on. I searched & searched online for a replacement trigger switch to no avail. Calling Remington was a dead end, too. It's a good saw. Just BE CAREFUL that you mount the saw in the pole carrier correctly or you'll be buying a new one like I am.

It is a little heavy while mounted on the pole. The heaviness is overlooked by the power of the saw.
This is the second Remington saw I have purchased. The first one was just as good, as it lasted 16 years with heavy use.

This saw is perfect for most of my wood cutting needs. It is a little hard to manage up high (I am older with bad shoulders) but a stronger person will have no trouble. Even so, the saw cuts so well I can usually manage the high cuts with leverage and patience. The firewood on the ground--piece of cake!

This little saw that can double as a pole saw is really handy and does even better than I had hoped for. Cutting is really good, cut's like butter is an exaggeration, but it really did surprise me how easy it cut through 6" branches and never bogged down or grunted. On the pole, this saw was easy to use and easily reach up to cut things 12' high. But keep in mind the saw on the end of the pole is some weight, - in the hand the saw does not feel like much, but on the end of that pole you will need both hands and good shoulder muscles.
It's easy to put together and take apart. One warning on the pole extension, the little locking lever is plastic. pay attention which way you lock it down or you will break it.
AS AN ELECTRICIAN I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU GET A 12 GAUGE DROP CORD. You will burn this little motor up if you use 18 or 16 gauge wire. 14 gauge wire is ok for 40-50 feet, but if it is any more you should get a heavier gauge. From my own experience, unless you catch a good sale, you might be cheaper to buy some good SOOW or SJOW three conductor cable, and a heavy duty plug, and receptacle and make your own. And make it longer than you think you will need. Long enough to got to the furthest part of your property.
