Use a tool to clear the recess area, never your finger or hand. And unplug the saw before any maintained work

there is a button on top that you have to push. it appears as if it's not self- lubricating which is odd because it appears that there is no way to lubricate it when it's mounted on the extension pole.

It has an automatic oiler, not real keen on how it works though. I may have clogged where oil comes out though as I was cutting branches directly above me in a truck.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 140 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 06489 Saw is excellent for limb trimming with the pole extension and small tree and limb cutting when detached from the pole. Easy to use and powerful enough for anything a homeowner could or should tackle. August 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good saw, bad oiler. The pole saw was built very sturdy,i have made @40 cuts with it so far, extended all the way out ...it works great.....bad bar oiling system as you cannot reach the oiler if it is extenden...also oiler bulb not very efficent...with that said i think this is a very good saw.. i would recommend to anyone looking for a pole saw....also if needed the saw works without the pole..Great feature! August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Performs as advertised Solid quality product. Performs as advertised. Heavier than expected. Very powerful. Being able to use the saw without the pole is an outstanding feature missing on other pole saws. I actually use it more without the pole. July 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor performance polesaw The oil chamber leaked constantly and consistently so that you could barely keep your hands on the pole. Could not make it stop leaking. The removable chain saw head worked fine but is so heavy that you won't want to use it for a lot of jobs. Good idea, substandard product. August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Electric Pole Saw Pole is well built and easily extended. Can be used as pole or chain saw. The saw is convient but fair as a chain saw and this makes the pole saw heavier and harder to handle when extended. The unit has a little more reach than most August 2, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by After 1 year extension pole wiring bad Bought this about May of 2015 this summer went to help neighbor after storm and when saw was put on pole the breaker would trip. Took saw off the pole and works fine. Luckily my ladder was tall enough to reach about 90% of what needed to come down. I love the dependability of the electric saw and has good power. Most in happy with pole not working especially since I haven't used the pole that much ( maybe twice). July 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by put the ladder away works great right out of the box...easy assembly...gets you away from the cutting area July 26, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed user. Remington is powerful. Very light it reaches higher than most pole saws. The saw chain design is poor though. It takes in too many chips and small branches during operation that it makes it impossible to keep it running smoothly for a long time. After a few uses over one weekend my Remmington pole saw locked up on me and I had to return it. I exchanged it for a Ryobi 9' - 6A. It works miracles. July 5, 2016
