Yes- 2 part frame. Not heavy. Very easy to assemble. 5 minutes tops. no tools needed. This is a great bed frame. Very sturdy, does not move around, not noisy at all, holds a lot of weight . Love it. Is there room underneath to put some long flat storage boxes-- would there be room for a box 8" high to fit underneath, for example? How high is it from the floor to where the frame is?

Answer:
No. You do not. That's why I bought it. You need to figure out if you want the high 14" which is where you only need a mattress & no boxspring. or the lower one. Do a little research before you buy. But it's a fantastic metal frame --comes in 2 pieces, no tools needed & assembles in 5 minutes or less! Love it.

Answer:
Hi P24soccer,
In most cases, yes, it depends upon the mattress you choose.
Most mattresses require a box spring or solid foundation.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A simple solution I needed something that would work for having company, and this was a foldable solution for freeing up space when I didn't need it. Just added a bed in a box spring mattress, and a good bed for company. Worked perfectly for my situation. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A WONDERFUL IDEA! Eliminating a box spring saves a great deal of money. But, a booklet attached to my new mattress stated that the warranty would be null & void if the spaces between the supports of a platform frame are wider than 2". I certainly don't want the coils of my expensive new inner spring mattress to come popping out the bottom! So, we purchased two sheets of thin pressed fiber board (Masonite) & had Home Depot cut to size (2 pieces to fit the king size bedframe). To keep that board in place, we taped the two pieces together down the center & also taped the Masonite to the frame in a few places. That works just fine and satisfies the conditions of the warranty on the mattress. (This would not be a problem with foam mattresses.) A wonderful advantage of this platform is the storage space under the bed. I used to have 4 under-the-bed storage boxes under my king size bed. Even with the diagonal supports under this frame, you can fit TWELVE under-the-bed bins (35" x 18" x 6"). I now have TEN bins underneath because the legs of our night tables next to the bed make it difficult to pull out the bin that is near the head of the bed on each side. For items not used very often, that space is available. Ten under-the-bed storage bins (35" x 18" x 6") provide a GREAT DEAL of storage space for bed linens, out-of-season clothing, gift wrap & supplies, sewing supplies, tablecloths & placemats, bathroom towels, toys, or whatever. My 13" bed skirt covers the frame and reaches the floor carpeting and hides all that is underneath. I recommend this metal platform bed frame. It's easy to assemble and sturdy. The height of the bed is exactly what it was when we had a box spring under our old mattress. August 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent prod. I purchased this (Queen) metal frame. It's very sturdy, does not move around, supports 1 mattress as a platform bed. It was very easy to put together. 5 minutes! No need for a box spring & so very comfortable. I saved a lot of money getting this. Comforter & bed skirt looks great & fits perfect. (Get the 14" height for the standard height of a normal 2 mattress bed set.) You will be very happy with the purchase. December 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Made in China - Leg felling off This frame is Made in China. I bought one for my son College Apt. When I unpack huge box, one leg was not welded. Its fell off. Its my mistake to unpack at home for inspection and place 100 miles away. Home Depot tried but manufacture did not reply as on till today for replacement. September 14, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great underbed storage I bought this for my daughter who upgraded to a full size bed from a twin. She had underbed storage containers that she really wanted to use; the thing is this is taller so you can use taller containers not just the short underbed ones. It assembled in 5 minutes and she loves it. I was a little worried that it won't be sturdy enough, but it is. The one con I would have is that her bed set came with a bed skirt and we had to totally lift the mattress over the bed then set it down because it kept moving and messing the skirt up. Overall worked out good. November 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just Perfect This item was delivered promptly. We were worried about assembly, but not a problem. It is two pieces. Unfold legs & hook it together. No tools required. Wish we had bought this item years ago! December 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Product This full-size metal platform bed frame is lightweight but surprisingly sturdy, super easy to assemble, fit an existing full size mattress like a pro, looks good and sleeps like a charm. I purchased it recently for visiting guests but gave it a test run too. I love it!!! Wish I had space for another :>) October 14, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice, especially for the price This went together easily and does the job. Certainly more solid than a cheap bed frame, but nothing too fancy. Great for our guest room. December 9, 2014
