Set up in 5 minutes. Pretty sturdy. Mattress and springs fit well. Lots of room under . Made for use without springs , but I am a tall person. Hasn't made any annoying noises. Does shift a little with no headboard.

I was looking for a platform bed and decided to go with a less fancy metal version. It is a solid frame, doesn't creek or wobble. I have a bed skirt to cover the metal since the black wouldn't match my room but if black is what you want then this will look fine.

I have a solid maple bed that the slat holders had collapsed on. So I needed a frame underneath that would fit within this wooden frame and this fit perfectly--unlike a standard steel bedframe. It was relatively simple to put together--and not too heavy. All I can say after having it for a couple of weeks is so far so good. It does have center legs on both sides at the edges that you have to watch your feet around. I might wrap them in some foam to avoid stubbing a toe. You definitely do NOT want to use your boxspring with this. Would be too high. Just lay the mattress on it and it will be a standard bed height. My picture is of this frame with the mattress lifted up on the corner to show how it fits within the wooden frame.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by UIVandals Great for Under Bed Storage
With this purchase, I now have two beds with this frame. I purchased the first one about a year and a half ago and have loved it. It did start squeaking a little bit when rolling over in bed, but that doesn't bother me at all. I have a memory foam/latex bed on the first frame I bought, and a memory foam on this one. Both mattresses are supported well by this frame. The thing I love the most is the ability to store things under the bed. The height of the frame easily provides 12" of clearance. Also, with the purchase of an accessory kit (around $20-$25) a headboard or footboard can be attached to the frame. Note: You will need to purchase two kits if you wish to attach both a headboard and footboard.

Wood slats broke on my wooden frame. This fit right inside the side rails of bed. Can be used with the box spring, if tall enough. The rise was only an additional 5 inch rise, from 9 to 14. Bringing total rise from floor to top of matress to 21 inches total on my matress. Yours could be less, depending on thickness of your matress and box spring. And your original rise on your side rail ridge is 9 or 5 inches from floor.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DD1182 More than I expected
I initially purchased this bed frame for my friend who weighs more than 400 lbs based on the specs that stated it supported up to 1000 lbs. He has had no issues with it and says the support is great. Not only does it look great but we now have his bed off of the ground which makes it easier for him to get in and out of bed and there is a large amount of storage underneath. It was very easy to put together.

The bed frame was exactly as described and delivered slightly sooner than estimated. We had it delivered to the store for us to pick up which was very convenient.
The frame assembled easily and with in minutes it was in service.
There is a bonus feature that we can store plastic totes under the bed.
It is very stable and there is no movement or squeaks. We are please with the purchase.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dave2 Creaky, Missing Parts... and Good Luck with that Headboard!
I honestly didn't care about the price so much as I cared about finding a platform that wouldn't creak. After reading reviews that said this one didn't, I happily accepted the stellar price tag as a bonus and ordered four of them. Well... when something's too good to be true... definitely creaky. And, to make matters worse, the wingnuts that attach the leg supports had fallen off the frame in many spots. Found some loose in the box, but some must have fallen out of the box during shipment because I had to make a trip to Home Depot to get replacements (6mm). By far the worst part of this purchase is the need-to-purchase a separate headboard bracket that are a complete failure. Of the four different headboards I purchased NONE of them attached to the brackets properly. If you're planning on attaching a headboard, hope you have an even temper and a power drill. Still, all things considered, this is a budget-friendly solution. Since you get what you pay for, it's tough to blame anybody but myself here.
