This product is terrible. Spent weeks in Sept 2014 researching, prepping and painting. Did everything the Rustoleum tutorial said to do. Did not even use the deck over the winter and it's now a cracked, bubbling, peeling mess. Now reading hundreds of terrible reviews from others with the same problem. Save yourself a lot of time and $ and use something else.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Valhalla9119 Tubs where not consistent however over all good.
I bought 17 tubs, 1 tub was 3\4's full of sand and impossible to mix properly and very hard to roll on, 1 was the wrong colour despite being labelled beach it was definitely more grey and unusable, 2 where very runny. So the finished effect after to 2 coats is uneven as I was in the process of doing the deck then. The tubs where very difficult to open. The end result showed a marked improvement and I was pleased with the result, I would recommend this product, the majority of the the time it was easy to roll on. I would advise you to check all the tubs before you start to ensure you have the right colour and get an even finish.

This product is amazing. I am using this on my deck that has been on the house for about 10 years and after the first coat the decking boards look like new. It really does fill in cracks up to 1/4" along with the nail holes. The only complaint I have is getting the material in between the boards. It is not something you can do with the roller and I would suggest doing between the boards before you start the rest of the deck. Overall I am very happy with this product, it saved me a lot of money and a lot of work not replacing the flooring on my deck.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bristowVA Their square feet chart is way off.
I just completed my 12x14 deck. Since they only fill the 5 gallon buckets to slightly less than 4 gallons. I was only able to get one coat out of two buckets that should be good for two coats according to the manufacturer.
It seems to be a good product but it cost double what they say. I spent $200 dollars for all the supplies required and it was only good for one coat. Sales man said that people keep coming back to get more. I know why now, it takes A LOT to do 200sf.
it is expensive but good.

This product is very good and works well but expect to use 2-3 times what you think you will need. We bought 2- 4 gallon buckets thinking that would be enough for 2 coats, that wasnt even enough to finish the first coat ended up buying 2 more buckets 1.5 of which were used to complete the first coat. However the second coat should not use as much! Great product but they need to be more realistic in how much product is used!

Your coverage issues are related to using it on wood decks, it clearly states for use on CONCRETE patios, walks, and steps...no mention of wood. my bet is your losing much of the product between the boards

We researched this product on-line. It has worked for us better than we expected. Would recommend it to all. It arrived within a few days from Home Depot.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tindi Old, ugly splintered deck looks brand new!
To make the thick liquid give more coverage, I used a paint brush first (seals cracks more efficiently) then for the second coat I used the roller for texture.
