Customer Questions & Answers

Can you color match this paint

I need to restore a deck that's 12ft by 16 ft Do I need two coats How much paint do I have to purchase. Thanks Cliff Can I match this paint to the color of my house Do you color match this type of restore?
Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Cliff! Yes, custom color matching is available. For a 12x16 deck you would need approximately 2 of our 4 gallon buckets. Two coats are required. The first coat will go on to fill in cracks and do other minor repairs. The product will soak into the wood or concrete and dry. The first coat may be blotchy and spotty. The second coat works as a finish coat and will give greater wear as the product ages. Be careful not to over spread. Restore is made to be applied thickly.

Customer Reviews

Deck Liquid Armor Resurfacer 4 Gal. water Based Hacienda Exterior Coating-DISCONTINUED is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Deck restore We liked the product and was a bit tough to work with, kinda like a milk shake. Takes a lot of product to get even the smallest job done. Get a lot of rollers as they do not hold up and they have the corner market on these. Color became the biggest factor as we started with a darker color and when the deck got one could go barefoot. We went to a lighter color and it was better, but still hot. We all decided that it is the sand in the product that absorbs so much heat. So everyone grab your flip flops and hold on to your pocket books. Just hope it holds up like they say!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Restore lives up to it's name My 22 year old porch was in horrible shape and I was ready to tear it down. Now it is beautiful, strong and something I am proud of. The product did not go as far as expected but the added cost to finish -vs- rebuild was well worth it, rebuild would have cost $15,000 - Restore cost me $1000. With my savings I added new railing! Almost 1 year later still looks new. Now I am doing my back patio this week. Thanks Restore!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A waste of money and energy. I am very sorry we wasted our money on this product. It takes at least twice as much of the product as it states on the directions. We purchased the 5 gal bucket and about half way through the application, it gets so thick you cannot roll it. I have over $400.00 invested in my deck and will probably end up rebuilding the deck in the near future. It makes me extremely irritated every time I look at it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is the worst product I have ever used This is the very worst product I have ever used. It has the consetity of pancake batter, is very hard to aply, does not cover well, after it has dried it will come off on your shoes and feet thatwill track back nt your house. I just stained a 65 x 16 deck and use 16 gal. I am afraid I may have to sand this off because of the tracking. If you slide a chair or table it leaves heavy marks on the deck.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy it. I purchased this product base on the non-slip coverage. I cleaned my porch very well and allowed to completely dry. One gallon should have covered 300 sq. ft. according to the container and the sales peson. It did NOT. I had to use 4 gallons to cover a 8x25ft porch. If I hadn't already had a gallon of it down I would not have used it. It is still sticky 1 week after application.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decking alternative This product goes on thick but provides a nice non-skid finish. I recommend applying it early in the morning if it gets hot (over 90 where you live) the first bucket I used barely covered a fourth of the expected area due to rapid drying. the second and third were much closer to spec. I've just applied it so I don't know if it will be durable. But I am pleased with it so far.
