Answer:
Yes. But just as important.....The trays are 2" deep. Make sure you allow more than 2" clearance when you close the tray. Also the tray is 3 3/4" tall. You will be happy with the tray if you have enough clearance.

Answer:
We do not recommend this for anything smaller then a 15" opening due to the the size of the hinges. With the hinges, the product sits right about 14.5" but the tightness in this opening may affect performance. You would be better suited with the 11 in. Polymer Tip-Out Sink Front Tray that is also offered on HomeDepot.Com.

Answer:
You need at least 2-1/4" of clearance from the back of the panel to your sink. If you have this amount you should be fine. Again, by not seeing or knowing more about the installation it is also hard to tell.

I like this idea but I don't want to pull my kitchen sink out of the counter top/cabinet base to install.

Hello dry,
Thank you for your question.
Although they are much easier to install if the sink isn't installed its very doable with it is installed.

All of them that I've done have been held in place with right angle plastic pieces that were stapled on. So I was able to grab them with a pair of pliers and just pull the staples out. Don't just hit it from behind due to it may break out the face frame of the cabinet. Although it may work it will also cause a lot more trouble.
Once you have the drawer front off follow the manufactures instructions to install the kit. Read Less

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 78 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome kitchen/bath addition I've installed these before (kitchen and bathroom, in my primary home. When I was replacing my kitchen sink in my snowbird home, I didn't hesitate to install a set while accessibility was best. They can be installed with sinks in place, but it's a little more difficult. I recommend watching a few videos on YouTube to see the installation process...not difficult. January 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product I read up on installing the shelf and hinges before I bought them. They are a little tricky, but after installing the second one I got pretty good at it. May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product, hard to install I really liked these tip-out shelves once they were installed. However, if you have an existing sink, which I imagine most of us do, get ready for a headache. It's nearly impossible to follow the instructions as written unless you have thirty joints in your arms and eyeballs on tentacles, so get ready to be creative with the installation. In addition, the screws provided are cheap. Two of the heads broke off during installation, so use better screws if you have them. But all in all the product does turn an otherwise useless panel into usable storage space, and even though installation was obnoxious, the outcome was good. August 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by under sink trays Trays came with heavy duty hinges that hold trays open much better than my older (20 year) model. Very sturdy. August 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by works great Good directions and templates. Fit perfectly on first installation. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Invisable Storage This is a handy item to have. I have them behind the sink panel blanks of all the sink cabinets in my home. Easy to install. March 8, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great invention! More space and less clutter is always good. I am in the process of redoing my kitchen and thought that this hidden tray would add a nice little touch, and it definitely does! I had installed it rather easilty before my granite/sink was installed. Installation took 5 minutes max. However, after the granite/sink was installed the tray wouldn't close. I had to make some adjustments (which was much harder now because the granite and sink were installed) but I made it work. Also, because my sink cabinet is only 27 inches, I could only install 1 tray. This is ok though as we didn't need 28 inches of tray, 14 is suffice. Overall- this is a cool added touch for any kitchen, just remember if you are going through a RENO, install this prior to granite/sink being installed. November 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Missing key element I did not receive the stencil that gives you exact placement for screws, etc. I have trouble opening and closing hinges because i had to guess on alignment. Otherwise, product as described.fair price. March 1, 2016
