Product setup was fairly simple, read the manual fully it works. The monitoring and configuration of alarms triggers, motion detection can be as simple or as complex as you need, video quality in daylight is excellent at night it is limited and depends on the number of IR LEDs on the camera for the range. If you need a long range at night get a system with more IR LEDs on the cameras. I had a few issues with remote Web access and Microsoft Internet Explorer (this is will be fixed by REVO June 2014) and received stunning support from the REVO Tech group, thanks Adarius, all in all the product meets all of my needs.

Another excellent product from Revo, Has worked flawlessly for the past year. I have purchased multiple DVRs from Revo, they always get the job done.
Four stars because after a year the DVR experienced some issues. Revo support was able to help immediately. Pretty painless process which makes things a bit easier on our side of things.
Would definitely recommend another unit in the future.

We have used this system for over a year and a half - and it has run solid since we first plugged it in. It has never been rebooted, and has never gone down on us. The outside cameras survived this last winter just fine - which I was concerned about since our temperatures reached -30 degrees actual for several days. There have been a few times where we needed to download video to a USB drive - that part worked flawlessly and the video was crystal clear providing us with the evidence needed.
The remote viewing software continues to improve, along with the Android software. Watching live video over a 3G/4G connection is perfectly clear.
The only thing I can not do with this system that I would like is to be able to regularly backup the hard drive data to a remote location - to secure the data offsite. But I am not sure if this option is available on any system in this price range.

Network card in DVR failed. REVO says failure to communicate with internet for remote viewing is due to sudden port closure on router.
Customer Servcie person knows less about systems networking than I do and thats not a lot. They've left me with an installed systems whose remote viewing/networking function is inoperative.
