It works fine but it's too soon to judge reliability. Takes less space than a tank. Installation is difficult.
1. Two 3 inch pvc pipes through the wall.
2. Condensate drain into a lavatory drain.
3. Requires high gas flow. Dedicated 1" gas pipe to meter. Gas company installed larger meter.
4. A dedicated electrical circuit.
5. And, of course, the water pipes.
6. And a remote control wire to second floor apartment.

This on-demand heater is remarkable, and it provides an endless supply of hot water for my entire house. The efficiency is awesome! The installation instructions were very clear and complete, so it was not a problem to install myself ( however, if you aren't comfortable working with plumbing and gas lines, I would recommend using a professional installer)

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Marty Needed professional instalation, but no problems with instalation.
Provides plenty of hot water. I spent a lot of time comparing different tankless water heaters and reading online instructions and specifications before deciding on this model. My plumber helped with advice on features, such as, ability to vent with PVC, plug-in vs. hard wire, placement, capacity, etc. Worth having professional installation, but must factor in the fee. Took plumber about 12 hours to install (reroute water and gas pipes, vent, remove old water heater).

Rated 5 out of 5Â by kscottbrown Easy install and works Great.
3/4" connectors for Gas and Water. Requires a drain close by. The only thing that was confusing on install was that the spacing between the intake and exhaust were different on the Heater and the outside cap. We have 2 bathrooms and it seems to work excellent. Much cheaper to run over the last month then our electric tank water heater, and never runs out!

We are restoring a large victorian home in a rural area. There aren't many plumbers that wanted to work with us due to a tankless system, as many did not have experience with installation. Our plumber had installed one before ours. He had our tankless system installed in about three hours with one trip to pick up plumbing parts he was out of to have it up and running. There is no more waiting for hot water at our house. I can run the dishwasher, two baths and washing machine at the same time, without fear of low water pressure and lack of hot water. We have five children and three of them are in every sport known to man. That means tons of showers every day. Excellent product. I'll never own a hot water tank again.
