Does the water get hot enough?

What does it mean by a 35 degree temperature rise? Does that mean the water only heats up to 35 degrees over the temperature of the ground water?
Asked by: butterflyfish

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SUPERB TANKLESS WATER HEATER I have had the 199,900 BTU Tankless Water Heater for almost a year now and it was a great choice. It is located outside, so I did not have to worry about exhaust. I have had 3 showers going in the household with no problems. I would recommend this unit to anyone!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than I expected I have been completely satisfied with this water heater. My previous experience with tankless left me wanting more, but this one doesn't. Hot water is delivered fast and consistent and I no longer have to worry about my children using all of my hot water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Unit! UPS delievered my new tankless water heater at 2:37 this afternoon and we had it installed and running perfectly by 6:25. And that included removal of my old Bosch unit and a trip to my local hardware store to pick up a few fittings. The unit delivers hot water in 8 seconds, and I have run it continuously now for 15 minutes in 2 showers and the kitchen sink with no drop in temperature or pressure. Being thoroughly familiar with tankless heaters - 6 years - I can overwhemingly endorse this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rheem 9.5 gpm Had a 40 gallon water heater on the second floor of my two storie home. Installed this on the first floor outside, so there was a lot of work just to run the gas, power, and water. The unit howerver was very easy to install. I have read other post on here about people not being able to buy the "Rheem tankless water heater valve kit" and having to order it. Homedepot does carry in the store the "Watts tankless water heater valve kit" watts is a very old and very well known plumping part company this kit is a must have to install this unit. Also the beat way to mount this is with Uni strut. And I have to give a shout out to Dasiy who works the plumbing dept. at Homedepot Burbank this lady knows her stuff and was a huge help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 9.5 gph works great Works great keeps 2showers and 3 sinks in hot water. Started to loose pressure after that nothing to do with the heater though. It does take a couple seconds longer to get hot water to the far side of the house. simple and space saving never ending hot water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Workmanship and Operation Purchased Rheem ECO200XN3 efficient tankless hot water heater. Unit has extremely high quality workmanship. Quick shipping from Home Depot kept my construction schedule on time. Installation was relativity easy but requires strict adherence to local codes. The remote controller feature is a nice touch. Start up was easy. This unit will pay for itself in less than two years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a reliable choice After a year or so the remote controls no longer work. I am on the third $100 dollar remote control. It gets a disconnected error. Internet says that the cause of the error is the wire between the remote and heater, the remote or the computer board in the water heater. The computer board is almost $400. No guarantee that the thing will hang together for more than a few months. As the service expert says, a tank-less water heater is a computer that sometimes heats water. The older Rheem tank-less water heaters had a horrible reputation for control connection errors. I had the heater installed by the best plumber in the county as part of a major kitchen remodel. They used the Rheem as the best heater. A friend of mine just finished a major remodel and the same plumber said that they no longer install tankless heaters, since they were unreliable and offer minimal energy savings. My heater may be aberration, and Rheem may have fixed all of the problems. To use hot water we have to flip the breaker off and wait five minutes. We flip the breaker back on and fiddle with the remote until it connects. We run to the shower and turn on the hot water. As long as the water is running, we have hot water. If we turn it off we may have hot water for minutes or hours. I am going to replace the heater with a standard tank type water heater that has a nice standard pilot light and no electric connection. The pilot light is not a waste of energy, since the energy is transferred to the tank. By the way, no tank-less water heater will work during a power outage.
