Not just a point of use water heater. I use this as my whole house water heater. For 1 or 2 person households in the south, it is an extremely inexpensive and space saving alternative to a conventional tank model water heater. You don't really want to take a shower while something else is using hot water, but I always felt that was true for a tank heater as well. I had to have my electric panel upgraded, which I paid a pro to do, but actually installing the heater isn't that difficult for an experienced do-it-yourselfer comfortable with plumbing and wiring. The best feature of the tankless heaters, in my opinion, is that the supply of hot water is unlimited. You need a long hot shower for a stiff back? No Problem. Two people need to take showers one right after the other? No Problem. Do a load of wash with hot water right after? No Problem. You never have to wait for that whole tank to heat again or finish a shower with cold water. Saves money with the electric bill, too.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by themechanic4us great price for this product, lots of usable space after installation
The unit is small but powerful .After my wife and I installed the unit we had tons of space under are kitchen cabinet for extra pots and pans. This unit provides plenty of continuous hot water to kitchen sink witch is 2 feet away and bathroom fixtures witch are 20 feet away! It currently can raise the ground water temperature from 57.7 degrees ferenheight to 150 degrees ferenheight, The temperature adjustment knob is perfectly placed and clearly marked for user friendly changes. It may be wise to install anti scalding device if you have children and or elderly in the house hold. I did"nt do the math but I"am sure this unit will save me 10 to 20 dollars a month in electricity.

I have TWO of these installed so that I can get twice as much Instant Hot Water for my whole house anytime I want. The original manufacturer of this Design won a contest NASA Held for the Space Shuttle Program Water Heaters. The Company was in Florida and still exists today. I've had mine for 10 years, then had to replace one when the unit was clogged and I didn't catch it in time. I originally setup two so I'd have a backup if the other went down, (which will work fine if you do the piping properly). But since these are 1/2" inch input, you won't get tons of Hot water like you do when two of them are working! A Great Product! Easy to install, even easier to replace (If you ever need to!).

Plumbing this tankless heater was quite simple. Wiring it was more difficult. I needed to replace my double 30 amp. breaker with a double 60 amp. Use 6 gauge wire from the breaker to the 8 gauge wire coming out of the heater. A wiring diagram would have been very helpful.
I have 38 degree water coming in from a well and it heats it to 105 degrees fast.

I Installed this about 3 weeks ago to provide hot water to my shop sink, shower and clothes washer in my workshop. This heater works very well so far! It was super-easy to install. I used 1/2" Pex tubing for inlet and outlet. So simple and efficient.
For handymen, this is a very easy install & plumb process. It comes with a short electrical cord which i wired to a utility box mounted next to the unit. I ordered the Square D 60 AMP breaker from Home Depot at the same time. Super easy to mount.
It is amazingly compact! Love it!
