Rated 5 out of 5Â by z2014m Best Water Heater incredible deal
Just installed yesterday, Installation was straightforward and instructions comprehensive. Heater has quicker recovery and starts and stops with little variation in water temp at tap. New self diagnostic control is a great improvement over my old manually lit pilot water heater. Replaced 15 year old rheem heater that would not keep pilot lit. Paid $337 on friday and price is $429 on website today (sunday). Still an excellent price point for a rheem heater.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Scooter Don't forget the installation kit!
As with any water heater, dont forget your installation kit. They sell one for about 40 dollars that uses compression fittings and braided hose and a flex gas line. Also you may need some 1/2 to 3/4 adapters if you have 1/2 copper going to your old heater like I did. You could reuse your old screw in adapters but good luck getting them out. I love the even temperature the unit provides and also the capability to put you in a burn unit at the hospital if you wanna turn it up that high.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Rick Just had this one installed through HomeDepot
The look is very nice, I like the thermostat and the status light code feature. It delivers 67 gal. Of hot water per hour. Good for a family of 4.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Misty1 Best water Heater Preformance of all 3 homes we owned.
Just had it installed... we are impressed with the quite operation. The temperature is set 20* cooler than our old uni,t and the water is HOT! (Hotter than the old Whirlpool of 8 yrs.) The people at Home Depot really sell some great stuff. There installers are excellent. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure the unit was operating the right way. They must have checked for leaks a 1/2 a dozen times. So we are safe to say this purchase again was done right the first time. The product is working beyond expectations. We will continue to buy from our local Murfreesboro, TN Home Depot Store! Murfreesboro, Tn

Bought the unit yesterday at Home Depot. Even helped me load it into my car, The guy was skeptic that it wasnt going to fit, but I reassured him it would. Just installed it tonight, ran into a couple of snags. The turn offs on the copper pipes were to low for the provided water pipes. I had to run to Menards to get an 18" pipe for the hot side and a 12" pipe for the cold side. I also had to get a 24" exhaust pipe, but I knew that before. The compression fittings worked great and the old gas pipe lined right up with the new heater. All in all with the trip to Menards and the cleanup and a haul of the old heater to the curb took about 4 hours. Hauling the old heater ( a 17 year old Ruud) was the hardest part of the job. Luckily my daughter was home to help me slide it up the steps. The rust was just falling out of the old heater as we rolled it down the driveway to the curb! We really got our use out of that Ruud! Theres a 6 year warranty on this Rheem; which in todays throwaway society is pretty good. I dont expect it to last 17 years however.I also noticed that this heater weighed about half of the old one, but everything is made cheaper and lighter these days. I was impressed by the heaters performance; the water was warm in just a few minutes. I turned the dial to the second lowest setting and the water is HOT! I have to warn the rest of the family to be careful! Overall the heater is quiet in operation(I guess I got used to the perculation of the old one). This one seems like a Cadillac in comparison. I made up a hose long enough to reach the sewer drain so I can flush the tank out after every season. Should help prolong the life of the tank. (I dont think the old Ruud was ever flushed). They dont make em like that anymore!
