Answer:
The average person uses 20 gallons when taking a shower. The average shower head uses about 2 gallons per minute. Also when the water enters the tank it starts blending with the hot water so you really would only have about 4.5 gallons of hot water before you would notice a drop in temperature.

Answer:
The average dishwasher uses 14 gallons of hot water. In this unit you would only have about 4.5 gallons of hot water before you start running out. See what your dishwasher rating is for water consumption.

Answer:
You can but with a 2000 watt element it may never shut off. The element most likely will not keep up with the demand.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Little But Mighty This 6 gal heater was the perfect replacement for the circulator on our tankless system. It fit into the small spot and so far is doing the job. June 28, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Died in 7 months Bought this heater when another one that had been running for 10 years died. Read good reviews but after installation it died in 7 months. Worked well while it did. Leaked all over, Thank god I had a drain pan installed under it on the 2nd floor with a drainage pipe. Wrote to Rheem twice. No one responded. Called but could not get somebody on phone. The 6 year warranty is not worth this product. Will try another product somewhere else, maybe tankless. December 16, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hot Water Heater - it makes water hot. It's a water heater. It takes cold water and heats it up thus dispensing hot water. October 13, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by hot water jester Can't find a 25 amp breaker to fit my brand new square d breaker box. That is what they say is required for this unit. 20 amp to small 30 to big. January 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by easy install easy use I bought this a couple of months ago to replace a high end European heater. I could clean out the old hot water heater very easily, so it rotted out after 2 years. This one I have in a tray off the floor I drain it monthly easy to do, HOPEFULLY this will help it last. With the plug in I have it on a switch so when needed I flip the switch and within 5 minutes I have warm water 10 minutes and it is ready to go. January 11, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality I bought this water heater today and the tank began leaking within two hours. February 4, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DOES A VERY GOOD JOB I purchesed unit several months ago due the fact our master bath was so far away from main heater. It has done a good job. The one problem I am having is that when the hot water is turned hard the cold water rushed into the water heater cooling down the hot water. This may due to have a too small water heater.
