See application chart below and locate your flow rate. For example: your flow rate is 1.5 gpm.

On the map, locate the average water temperature in your area.

For example: your water temperature (in Atlanta) is 55°

Use the water temperature and flow rate chart to determine the model you need.

RETE-3 - 3kW 0.09 GPM Point of Use Tankless Electric Water Heater is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big Mistake First one I ordered did not get hot even though it said it was working. The second one never came on when water was turned on. After calling Rheem troubleshooting I was told the item I ordered would only increase incoming water temp by about 10 to 15 degrees. Why they even make such a poor item is beyond me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This is a good product, But it does not make very hot water. This product does not produce sufficent amounts of hot water. I had to turn down the incoming flow in order to even get the little bit I got. When I called to get help, I got transfered from dept to dept. I never did get an answer to the questions I asked. I was finialy transfered to Warranty. They never did answer the phone. I was on hold, on my cell phone, for a total of 65 min. This problem was on the manufactures level not Home Depot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A small space & energy saving water warmer The first unit lasted one day; it was quickly replaced by 800 HOME DEPOT. The water warmer (increasing temperature) over incoming works well (L-H) but there is no thermostat as the increase depends on the starting temperature. The problem with installation is the non-standard 1/2" water heater fittings; they are also of different threading than the building's standard plumbing. It took two HD helpers and I over 90 minutes to create a "fix" of adapters that required some soldering; no big issue, but using standard 1/2 or water heater 3/4 inch fitting would have made this a much easier DIY install.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product promised efficiency but did not deliver. Due to it's size and 110V easy connect I was looking forward to a good value and hot water. Even at 2 feet from the faucet the water did not get hot or reach the heat rise as advertised. After giving it a month to preform as promised I have removed it, hope Home Depot will take it back, and am looking at other brands. Meanwhile, not hot water at the sink.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warning: Does not use consumer plumbing pipe attachments! Copper pipe ONLY! I replaced a 13 month old piece of Eco-junk that had a five year warranty advertised, but only one year on parts. It was a plastic little piece of junk, for almost the same money, but it had consumer screw-on fittings that attached directly to the sink. The Rheem is a very sturdy unit that should last a very long time, but the threads coming out of the unit are for compression fittings that require a soldered copper pipe conversion to the pipe thread that matches sink faucets. I spent hours trying to find adapters at very specialized shops, to no avail. I do have copper pipe solder abilities, and finally just made my own adapter pipes. I use it on a bathroom sink with a .6 GPM output and it does not warm up instantly, but after 15 seconds, it is good for hand washing and does retain that heat ability for as long as you want to use it. Shower output would be very minimal! Instructions specify very heavy 10 gauge wiring in the building, but it did work fine on a dedicated circuit with regular 12 gauge wire. I would expect this unit to perform perfectly for a very long time. Just be aware of the custom installation requirement and minimal output.
