I must have a trimmer that falls into the 1% category of those that this head will not work with.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by kmr2014 Make Sure Your Trimmer uses Counter-Clockwise Thread
This product likely would have worked great if I had the chance to use it. Unfortunately, the 1% not covered by this product must be any trimmer requiring clockwise threads on the shaft.
The adapters included/available are only designed for trimmers requiring counter-clockwise (left-hand) threads. So if your trimmer requires clockwise (right-hand) threads, this product will NOT work for you, so don't waste your time. And they are not available after the fact, so don't bother asking.
The adapter nuts have a special collar, too, so it's not possible to just find a standard nut that fits your trimmer.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by ozzie Great for clearing brush
I have two weed wackers, a curved shaft TroyBilt TB20CS and a straight shaft Shindawa 242, and a lot that needed clearing. This lot was covered in brush, brambles, and small trees, ranging from pencil-thin to 2-3" thick. I started today with the Shindawa with a regular string head and a chainsaw, clearing out the lighter stuff with the Shindawa and then cutting with the trees with the saw. I got fed up with messing with string on that, so I grabbed the TroyBilt, which had the version of this with the plastic blades on it, it went better until I got the head caught in a patch of small trees and the head rounded out around the bolt. It also took a bit of effort to go through anything resembling a tree, so I was using the saw for a lot of the work.
So I went to Home Depot to get a replacement for that, and saw this, so I picked up one of each. I put this on my Shindawa, which took about a minute and a half, and most of that to figure out how to take off the head, which is left hand threaded. I did that about 20 minutes ago, and in that time I have easily matched the work I did in 3-4 hours before. I should note that although this will slice through smaller saplings, it takes a little bit of work to get through anything over 1/2" thick, so I will still use the saw for that. For reasons that should be obvious, I would not recommend this for your regular trimming, but for clearing out brush it's great, I wish I'd bought it before I started.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by exdiver great brush cutter
Easy to install on my stihl FS55. Looked at stihl dealer, they were out of stock, and higherr priced. Used this head for 5 tanks of gas today clearing a pasture fence line that was a full year in growth. This worked GREAT! It does not like concrete :) I will be buying more replacement blades to have on hand for when these are done!

I attached this to my Ryobi straight shaft trimmer, and it's like a lawn mower on a stick! This blade kit is well worth the money when used in heavy weeds. Buy it, you won't regret it!
