I have a an Echo 225, and i'm not sure if I never knew how to do it.. but the line would constantly break, and then trying to restring to and wind it up would turn a 20 min job in to 2 hours. Picked this up on a whim at home depot and now I am sad I didn't get one sooner. The installation took 5 mins, super easy. Once installed, I took it to finished up the high brush against the brick house, the lines showed barely any wear, I was able to do my whole fence line with out it breaking once... and even if they do, installing a new line is breeze! I have not used the plastic blades yet, but after reading the reviews, I am excited to do so. This is the best product for time saving and easy maintenance, plus it works better than the standard 2 lines.

My echo gt225 came with the rapid loader head and it is horrible, I used 105 line at all times, and any trimming against hard objects, forget about it, would wear down or break way to easy, I love echo products, but not this head, my first use of this new head was like night and day, I have trimmed three times now, and I am still on the string that came on the head.Only hope the head lasts for awhile, only time will tell

Worked well. Needs to have a way to use thicker string.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tangy2 Much better than the OEM replacement head.
Replaced the trimmer head on my gas trimmer and what a relief to find it was finally working the way it was intended to work. The strings did not wear down as quickly and the kit came with replacement strings and a set off trimmer blades. Easy to assemble and works much better than the trimmer head from the Original Equipment Manufacturer. Indeed a valuable and durable product. Thank you very much.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by enginerd Get this head for your 40V Trimmer
I swapped out the stock head on my 40V string trimmer with this. I should have done this as soon as I got the trimmer instead of wasting a year with the stock head. The trimmer can't swing the thicker strings as fast as the far thinner stock strings, but it doesn't seem to matter. I was able to trim 100 feet of fence line without stopping to adjust the line. Also, even though the head seems to spin slower, it is more effective and cutting grass and thick weeds. I was also able to turn the trimmer on its side and edge, but the thick lines leave a very wide path of destruction. If you want a head that can edge neatly, look elsewhere.

This trimmer head works great and has been a huge timesaver. My yard has a very long fenceline surrounding it and was a pain to trim before. the strings on my trimmer were constantly breaking and it was very difficult to restring. I installed this new head very easily and haven't had any issues at all. It works great for edging along the fence and is plenty powerful to cut through some of the heavier growth as well

This thing is just amazing..I went in looking for the pro model ( so i can use.105 line). They didn't have it so salesman recommended this....showed me .105 goes through holes and made sure i was all set.....SUPER EXCITED I raced home to wage war upon those pesky weeds that i jad neglected for 3 weeks( I live in the way out country so whipping weeds is serious business). Took me all of 10 minutes to put this head on....most of that time was spent finding the darn head pin that came with my troy bilt 29cc that had fallen behind my shelf last yr......put in the .095 pre cuts that came with it.....made it 3/4 of the way through all my weed war....replaced the strings ising last of the pre cuts.....and finished up....love it so far....and its a beast
