Will this work on my Weed Eater XT300. I read the instructions and can't see threads to accept the bolt. The spool is held by spring clip.

Answer:
The package lists what will work. YOU have to use the right bolt or it will come apart or strip out the shaft. Very important to look closely at all the bolts. But there is one that is right one.

Bolts are not all left handed but paper says they are.

Paper says all bolts are left handed, but the right size bolt for my Ryobi T430 is left handed. Called for help and was told that paper was a typo, try turning the bolt the other way. Explained not possible. Was told that number 5 bolt was the correct bolt, thus not compatible with my Ryobi. Talked to Ryobi salesman who said all Ryobi trimmers use left handed bolts. Typo?, wrong bolt? What is the story?

Try the bolts first without the attachment to find the right bolt for your trimmer. Then, remove the bolt and attach the new push-n-load 3 blade head and bolt it in place. It took me less that a minute to find the right bolt and attach my 3 blade attachment. I tightened the bolt hand-tight without any tools. Read Less

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid, cheesy blades grind down to nothing in minutes. On my last trimmer I bought a replacement head (same price) with blades that lasted all summer. This trimmer I bought this head and within a couple of minutes the blades were ground down to nothing. Today I put on the replacement blades and did a normal trimming. Tiny front and back yard combined less than a small fraction of an acre. This time I had to stop trimming in the middle of the job because the blades were ground down to nothing. Also installed as per instructions on my echo trimmer (common brand) and had so much grass tangle up under the replacement head I had to stop at one point and take it apart. Complete piece of junk. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Toni usage Item did the job but 2 of three blades had to be replaced post initial use August 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Less than 1 star. Disintegrated after 60 seconds. Replaced the blades, reduced RPMs, changed from thick brush, kudzu style weeds and thick crabgrass to only light weed and grass with the same result. Except it lasted 2 minutes before disintegrating. I have a gas powered Stihl weed trimmer. The blades were very easy to replace. Good for a small lawn with light grass only. Look out for the edges of sidewalks, concrete borders, pavers etc. the blades will disappear. November 12, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worked well I liked this, but my dad didn't like it. I will continue to use it. June 28, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Broke Probably be ok product if you have open field to trim. Not so great for around obstacles as the blades just snapped off. June 28, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by "Not Intended For Edgings"..........? "Not intended for edgings".....so what am I needing a trimmer for? If I'm only going to use my trimmer for open fields I can use my lawn mower for that. That said, plan on replacing the nylon blades every time you use your trimmer. If you have to trim around harder surfaces (like plastic edging, wooden fences, etc.) expect the blades to wear FAST as you use them. They last about as long as it takes to do the yard and that's it. My yard is average size (.5 acre) with fencing and plastic edging in the normal areas.. At $8 for 12 blades, it's almost a horse a piece price-wise with buying a new trimmer head with string. Still, it's better than farking around with trimmer string every time it breaks. Blades are super easy to remove and replace. May 24, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 3 blade trimmer. Works great, but plastic blades only lasted 5 minutes. I recommend getting metal blades. June 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth it Paid $11 and it broke first use. I would not recommend April 23, 2016
