I bought 36 x 6" Peel and Stick wood laminate flooring. I tried to install some with scissors and a razor. No bad don't do it! This vinyl cutter does straight cuts right through the long pieces to make the end cuts extremely easy. I placed it on the ground, figured out how much to cut off and marked it with my razor blade. Popped it into cutter, straight cut in 5 seconds. Then I removed backing and laid peel and stick down. Highly recommended. Now if only I had a 36" long cutter for the long cuts!

This worked great for short cuts, not possible to use for long length of board cuts. Also, after use in a 240 Sq ft room. The blades are dull.

Used it on smart core plank type vinyl flooring. Worked great. You do have to give it a swift push to get a cut the first time, need less to say the device saved me a ton of time. The last floor I did took hours because I was having to go out side to cut on a miter type chop saw. Not with this never had to get up just keep it by your side and cut as you measure.

This simple little gadget has made putting over 1000 sf of plank vinyl a breeze. It cuts a nice clean line without breaking the tile with a straight line. I have arthritis in my hands, so using snips or shears is difficult.

it was simple to assemble,to work with it is a bit tricky as it does not open fully and so getting the vinyl in to cut perfect length was hard as it did not rest against the straight edge. had to keep a ruler to be sure it was square. but it did beat getting up or down several times to cut it. took a lot longer to lay the floor ,but got it done.would I recommend it to any one else? No I weould let them use mine with an explination.

The only assembly required was attaching the handle to the blade - that only took a minute, then I was ready to go. I've installed vinyl tile before, slicing each piece with an exacto knife, which took forever. Once I measured each piece and drew the guideline, just sliced it, and was ready to install. Didn't lose a single tile - worked perfectly. I had an 8x10 room completely done in under two hours....
