I am a contractor specializing in custom cabinetry but I do a little of everything so flooring is in my realm of services that I offer my customers to complete a kitchen renovation. I had a strange application where a kitchen with a wood floor and basement beneath it adjoined a slab addition for only a few feet. I was pleased to find that you can adhere 3/4" solid hardwood flooring to a slab foundation (which was contrary to what I had been led to believe). Before I do anything new, I always do my research by reading all the information about the new product and sometimes even better that that, reading what people have written about their experiences (just as I am doing here). I was wondering why this product had only a 3.2 rating so I read all the reviews and came to the conclusion that some people just expected something different from products. I really can't fault the product because it is a little hard to apply, it has to be somewhat thick to provide a vapor barrier and sound deadening and adhesion so I just dismissed the poor rating from one user. I also read that the product skins over in a short period of time and a lot of the product is wasted. I didn't find this at all, I think who ever wrote this left the lid off maybe in Arizona during the entire application so I didn't dismiss that but I put 4 mil plastic on top of the adhesive in the bucket and left it in there for the next time I used it and it was as good as new. If you starve the adhesive from air (which per-maturely hardens it) then the chance of hardening the product is greatly lessened. I give this product a 5 even though it is a little hard to spread. Common man!, just suck it up you're doing construction!!!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Beth This glue is AWFUL!
As many other reviews have stated, this glow is a nightmare to work with. When we opened the can, a good 1" was already set on the top. After cutting that away, we were able to install for 25-30 minutes at a time before another layer would set up on the top. There was at least 1/3 can worth of waste because it kept setting up as we worked. We sealed the lid back on and wrapped the can tightly in plastic for a 6 hour break and the product had set even more. While I does make a nice layer under the floor, it is nearly impossible to get off the wood. Nothing we've tried to far works... including the Roberts remover. A friend said they had success with a Magic Eraser, so we'll try that next.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by try8382 Doesn't go as far as they say.
My husband who is a professional floor installer used this to lay bamboo flooring in our living room and dining room. We used the trowel recommended and it did not go nearly as far is the recommendations suggested. We had to buy another container to finish. Also my husband was concerned because the trowel peaks fell long before we he felt they were supposed to and I definitely noticed a difference between this and a product we used for another project. Hope it actually lasts for the long run, only time will tell. Way too pricey! The would you recommend this only gives you a choice of yes or no -- my real answer is MAYBE, if nothing else was available and if it really does hold over time.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by OldCarpenter1234 Glue Cleanup is too Labor Intensive
This product is effective in glueing down wood flooring but it is a nightmare to remove from the finished floor. As instructed by HD, I uses Roberts R5505 Toweletts to remove the wet glue as I installed the flooring. Everywhere the towelette touched the flooring, it left a smudge on the finished floor. I tried various wood floor cleaners to remove the smudge but the only thing that worked was about 100 lbs of elbow grease and mineral spirits. The same labor intensive process must be repeated numerous times before the glue smudge is finally gone. It has taken me longer to clean up the floor than the original installation.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by HandyNot DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! CLEAN UP TOO DIFFICULT
We installed 4.75" engineered hand scraped hardwood flooring. I asked our contractor to glue the flooring to prevent any future issues with wider planks -BIG MISTAKE. Cleaning up the glue was a nightmare. The process took me over two weeks working on the floor every evening after work. This was a small project, only 435 sq. ft. I used the Roberts Urethane Cleaning Wipes and countless other products at great expense and time. I would never use this product again and will likely never endeavor to have a contractor glue flooring in my home.
Like an earlier reviewer of this product, if I had the extra money I would have ripped out the flooring and started over without the glue. Totally dismayed.
