Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DespicableMeh Worst glue cleanup you would never want to deal with
Had installed 700 square feet of flooring in my downstairs and stairway using this glue. It sticks, and it keeps on sticking. We have smudges everywhere, and the clean-up is 10% after 3 weeks. Roberts glue remover wipes won't do the job, but found that Magic Eraser and WD-40 does. Roberts didn't share this info with us thru their customer service call, but it's in a forum showing what worked for others. I would skip this glue and use the 1509 glue, or another brand. I'm surprised HomeDepot continues to sell it with so many issues from so many users.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by HandyNot DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! CLEAN UP TOO DIFFICULT
We installed 4.75" engineered hand scraped hardwood flooring. I asked our contractor to glue the flooring to prevent any future issues with wider planks -BIG MISTAKE. Cleaning up the glue was a nightmare. The process took me over two weeks working on the floor every evening after work. This was a small project, only 435 sq. ft. I used the Roberts Urethane Cleaning Wipes and countless other products at great expense and time. I would never use this product again and will likely never endeavor to have a contractor glue flooring in my home.
Like an earlier reviewer of this product, if I had the extra money I would have ripped out the flooring and started over without the glue. Totally dismayed.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Beth This glue is AWFUL!
As many other reviews have stated, this glow is a nightmare to work with. When we opened the can, a good 1" was already set on the top. After cutting that away, we were able to install for 25-30 minutes at a time before another layer would set up on the top. There was at least 1/3 can worth of waste because it kept setting up as we worked. We sealed the lid back on and wrapped the can tightly in plastic for a 6 hour break and the product had set even more. While I does make a nice layer under the floor, it is nearly impossible to get off the wood. Nothing we've tried to far works... including the Roberts remover. A friend said they had success with a Magic Eraser, so we'll try that next.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by OldCarpenter1234 Glue Cleanup is too Labor Intensive
This product is effective in glueing down wood flooring but it is a nightmare to remove from the finished floor. As instructed by HD, I uses Roberts R5505 Toweletts to remove the wet glue as I installed the flooring. Everywhere the towelette touched the flooring, it left a smudge on the finished floor. I tried various wood floor cleaners to remove the smudge but the only thing that worked was about 100 lbs of elbow grease and mineral spirits. The same labor intensive process must be repeated numerous times before the glue smudge is finally gone. It has taken me longer to clean up the floor than the original installation.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by try8382 Doesn't go as far as they say.
My husband who is a professional floor installer used this to lay bamboo flooring in our living room and dining room. We used the trowel recommended and it did not go nearly as far is the recommendations suggested. We had to buy another container to finish. Also my husband was concerned because the trowel peaks fell long before we he felt they were supposed to and I definitely noticed a difference between this and a product we used for another project. Hope it actually lasts for the long run, only time will tell. Way too pricey! The would you recommend this only gives you a choice of yes or no -- my real answer is MAYBE, if nothing else was available and if it really does hold over time.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rusty Hard Wood Floor Adhesive
I used both the 1509 and 1530 adhesives and from sitting on Home Depots shelves for three years, yes three years as a packing list was left attached to the top of two of the five cans I used. It was supposed to get between 100-120 sq ft per can, I was lucky to get 75. This cost a lot more than I expected, especially since I installed 500 sq ft of flooring over concrete. As soon as I get a chance, I will write to the manufacturer to complain about their products quality and shelf life.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jimbo Well worth the extra money.
The product was easy to spread and trowel. After curing it made a nice tight bond to the linoleum-covered concrete floor. It has some flex to it so walking on the hardwood floor is more comfortable. All in all, it was worth the extra money to buy this product for my application.

The product seems to be very good. Without question walking on the wood floor is very quiet. Wood floors I have had in the past have a creak to them when you walk on them.
