I have an 8 x 10 area rug over Pergo in my tv area and it constantly moves under the sectional, leaving it look misaligned with the Pergo board lines. Over the past year, we have had to realign the rug many times to prevent it from piling up against the tv stand.
This rug gripper a great aid in preventing that slippage going forward. Hopefully I won't be moving the furniture again soon to realign the area rug.

I've been using this for about 2 months now & it works perfectly over vinyl and carpet, Great product! Can be a little tricky to install, but it still stays "sticky" (not tape sticky, but effective) even after lots of interaction with my fingers.

This will hold your rugs in place very solidly. Even if you misplace your rug and re-position it, this rug gripper will be forgiving. This is assuming that you are putting your rug on a clean hardwood floor. I've tried a decorative rug on top of a carpet, and it doesn't work very well at all, but it isn't designed for such an application either. It is a thin layer of grippiness which won't be noticeable as compared to some padded versions I've used.

Rug moved as before. Only works if you never step on rug.

This product does exactly what it is designed to do. You cut multiple strips of the tape and lay it down on the floor where the carpet will be placed. Then you remove the protective blue plastic to expose the other sticky side and place the carpet down on top of it. The product is not super sticky so the carpet will come back up unharmed if you need to move it. It is also not sticky enough to hold down rolled up edges so ensure you carpet is flat before you start the process. Using the multiple strips as directed my carpet does not slide on the tile floor which is wonderful. The tape is a woven type material that is white in color.
