Answer:
this sounds like a moisture problem. This product doesn't have a moisture barrier so if you didn't install one it is the probably the moisture coming from the concrete.

Thank you for your inquiry.
Usually swelling floors are the result of increases moisture content. You must determine the source of the moisture to correct the problem. A flooring inspector/consultant may be your best course of action to find the root of your problem.
We would suggest a NWFA certified professional.

Thank you Bambi for your inquiry.
If you can lower the Relative Humidity in the room you can slow down the hardening process.

Thank you for your inquiry.
No, this product does not provide any sound reducing properties. However, the R1530 All-in-One Bamboo and wood flooring adhesive does act as a sound reducer (IIC 71, STC 67, ¬IIC 22 ), as well as a moisture vapor barrier.

Whats funny is my husband did the same thing and what works best is sweat. If you put lotion on your hands and then put your hands in latex gloves for a few hours it peels right off. Lesson learned!

Answer:
Thank you Lydie for your Roberts inquiry.
To remove the R1509 from your hands we recommend applying baby oil and leaving this on for an hour. You may want to put on latex gloves during that hour. You can then wash your hands and this should remove the adhesive.
If you have any questions you can call our Customer Service (866) 435-8665.
Thank you again for your inquiry.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great adhesive. I love it as it is one of the strongest adhesives I've ever seen. I glued wood planks to a concrete floor. I love it as it is one of the strongest adhesives I've ever seen. I glued wood planks to a concrete floor. October 21, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to spread but swells during curing This adhesive was easy to spread but it swells during curing. Using a 1/4" square notch trowel, the thickness of the adhesive increased by 1/8" after curing. This makes it tough to do a floor in sections. HD.com needs to do a much better job in packing. I placed 2 orders and I received both severally banged up. December 12, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good product This product was easy to use and had almost no voc when using it. March 24, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Robert's has quality control issues Glued down 400 sq ft of bamboo and used this glue. It took two 4 gallon buckets. I opened the first bucket and the glue seemed thick. I've never glued down flooring before so I didn't know what to expect. I painstakingly got through the first bucket and started on the second bucket and the glue seemed even thicker. I took the glue back to Home Depot and had them get a new bucket of glue to compare it with mine. The new bucket of glue was the consistency all the glue should have been. More like cake batter instead of pizza dough. I exchanged the bucket without any problems and proceeded to finish the floor without any issues. The new glue went down so much easier then the first bucket. April 3, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solid Product, but be aware of issues Nice product for sure as it does what it is intended to do well. However, there are a few issues. First, it is difficult to open and basically impossible to close, so make sure you do what you need to within 5-6 hours. A skin hardens on top with time (don't use it). Second, It is very messy and difficult to pour, so make sure to use a tool (trowel, scoop or something) to get onto the floor first and have towels on hand. I used it on stair landings, but wasn't using in on the stairs so I had to be more careful than usual. Lastly, I wish they sold a ONE GALLON bucket. This is the smallest size I could find and it is the best value I could find. Again, it is a great product and does what it needs to do. June 19, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by May not be the right producr Since this glue is urethane, it does not expand or "move" with the bamboo when it swells. I had the floor pop up (loose) in three places in a 160 square foot area. (My computer room). There was also adequate spacing along the walls. Other reviews have stated there is a better glue than Roberts. August 5, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by This product arrived with a thick skin on the top.We had to scrape at least one quart off to get to the good stuff. I only needed half of the bucket to do the job I had . Could not buy smaller amount. With one Quart hardened in the can to start with, and having to buy double the amount needed to do the job , This an expensive way to go. It did glue the bamboo down and so far stayed down.We will see in time. I don't think we will have a problem with it's ability to stick. I feel sorry for the next guy that wants to remove this floor. All this being said, there is not much choice out there . I guess it is what it is. January 29, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does what it states it will do. Am satisfied that it's adhesive properties are as strong as any out there. It was tacky within 30min and for engineered wood flooring that has tongue and groove slots, once all partitions are set in place, you can actually walk on it immediately. After a 24 hour cure, you can jump up and down on it as it is solid set by then. April 23, 2014
