once I open the container, how long can it be stored in my garage? I only do 1 room at a time.

Asked by: CATREKKER
Thank you for your inquiry. R6300 has a 1 year warranted shelf life in a sealed unopened container. Once the container has been opened and used, the remaining contents should be stored, resealed, in an environmentally controlled area to preserve the integrity of the adhesive and used as soon as possible. will this work on a concrete basement floor?

will this adhesive work on an concrete floors with your carpet tiles? Should the floor be sealed with an epoxy paint first?
Asked by: jcdjr
Thank you for your inquiry. Roberts® R6300 is a high performance pressure sensitive adhesive which may be used to install carpet tiles onto concrete. Sub floors must be structurally sound, dry, smooth, flat, level, free of excess moisture/alkali and all substances (oil, wax, grease, paint, oil based sealers, etc.) that might interfere with the performance of the flooring or its installation. Always perform moisture and pH readings on the substrate to ensure proper installation site conditions. Moisture Vapor Emissions: 10 lbs. or less (ASTM F1869) or 90% or less (ASTM F2170) Always confirm with the flooring manufacturer that below grade applications are warranted and confirm what moisture tolerance they are warranted for. Roberts moisture warranty does not supersede the flooring manufacturers moisture installation warranty. If you have any further questions please call our Customer Service (866) 435-8665. Thank you for your interest in our product.

I have existing carpet with glue. Doing the best to remove. Can I put a primer on first before the adhesive?

Will it stick and how long will I need to leave it??
Asked by: M222
Thank you for your inquiry. Our Roberts substrate recommendation is : Subfloors must be structurally sound, dry, smooth, flat, level, free of excess moisture/alkali and all substances (oil, wax, grease, old adhesive, paint, oil based sealers, etc.) that might interfere with the performance of the flooring or its installation. While going over a sealed substrate, the open time will be extended to achieve proper tack of adhesive. Do not lay the flooring into wet adhesive over a sealed substrate. Always follow open time recommendations. If you have any further questions please call our Customer Service (866) 435-8665. Thank you for your interest in our product.

4-gal. Pressure Sensitive Adhesive for Carpet Tile and Luxury Vinyl Tiles is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from For gym rubber flooring I purchased this for use with my recycled rubber rolls of gym flooring. The rubber is black and the adhesive dries white. I thought it may dry clear. Now I have patches of white all about the surface of my rubber floor where the adhesive "bled" through the porous rubber. I am trying to find something that can remove the adhesive from the rubber floor surface without damaging it. As far as other properties, it dries pretty slowly which may or may not be a good thing. It provided good adhesion. It offered me a chance to move the rubber panels around before it dried. The entire container covered about 300 sq/ft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pressure sensitive glue The glue is fantastic! No smell water clean up. Didn't go as far as it said it would with 1/16 trowel. We got maybe 400 square feet done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Coverage was greater than the lable indicates for roller application Milky in color when wet, dries clear. Easy to roll. I covered ~700sqft with 2 gallons. It was done in 3 sections over a period of 18 hours. Covering the paint tray with plastic was enough to keep the roller from getting tacky. between rolling sessions. I ran a dehumidifier and fan to speed up the tack time. Laying the carpet tiles was easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product!! and easy to use Directions were easy to follow. The adhesive was easy to apply with a paint roller. Dried within hours and my carpet tiles are sticking very nice. no corners lifting up or warping. I tried to pull a tile up to see how easy it was……..very easy. Peeled off nice and still stuck after replacing. I ordered the big bucket and used 1/2 for 600 sq ft. It was still cheaper than ordering two gallons.
