Customer Questions & Answers

What is the purpose for the floor roller? What does it do?

Asked by: Cooka
Thank you for your inquiry.Roll the vinyl as soon as possible after gluing it down. This will ensure the vinyl has made consistent contact with the adhesive field. Use a hand roller or rolling pin on small floors and a floor roller on large areas. Work from the center out. Always follow flooring manufacturer's roller weight and instructions.

We are very satisfied with this roller. We tried to rent one at our local home depot but the one they had could not be disassemble. I really recommend this roller because its easy to handle since you have to take it up on a roof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roll on We actually use the roller on roofs to compress the seams of roofing matertial. I probably would have rented one but we tend to get them pretty dirty with glue or asphalt. We don't use them every day but when we use them they come in pretty handy. Better than getting down on your hands and knees and using a four inch roller.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool, necessity for vinyl plank installation, gold plated price. Quality product, arrived sooner than expected. Only down side is the obviously outrageous price for what it cost to manufacture. But, when you are a do-it yourself vinyl plank installer it is a must have tool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Linoleum Roller The Robert's linoleum roller was delivered quickly and arrived in good shape. It is exactly what I was expecting, and it was the right tool for rolling out the waterproof membrane I installed on a outdoor deck project I'm working on. The three rollers do indeed roll and articulate independently, so it works great going over seams also. The tool appears to be well-made, and I suspect it will last a long time. The only down-side is the price for what it is. The thing required no rocket science to design or manufacture, so I can't really understand why these things are so expensive. That said, Home Depot's price for this item, with transport wheels, was the best price out there. Amazon has it for the same amount, but without the transport wheels. You may not need them, but I found them useful plus the brackets can also be used to add some weight to the thing if you really want a 100 lb roller but don't want to pay the extra $100 for $2 worth of extra steel. Overall, a well-made item that should hold up for years of use and highly recommended if you need one.
