Answer:
From you question, it appears that you are wanting to apply adhesive to the wall and not necessarily the cork board. If such is the case, most any paint roller would work; don't get anything too fancy/expensive since you'll dispose of it when complete.

From you question, it appears that you are wanting to apply adhesive to the wall and not necessarily the cork board. If such is the case, most any paint roller would work; don't get anything too fancy/expensive since you'll dispose of it when complete.
On the other hand, if you are looking to roll over the cork board as you attach it, the Roberts Extendable Floor Roller would work just fine. Its rollers are made of non-marring rubber, it's wide enough to cover a good width, and being extendable allows it to apply good pressure in without needing to get on a ladder.
I have not looked at all the rollers on the market, so I cannot say specifically which one is ideal; I also believe in adapting/using tools for multiple purposes if suited. Read Less

Answer:
The extendable floor roller would be ideal to apply pressure to the cork board .. Usually a notched trowel would be used for the adhesive.. Milt

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase Worked great on the tiles, and kept them together, great value! April 5, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Roller - Should be heavier This roller is well made and the handle can be extended to full size so you don't have to bend, but it isn't heavy enough to really do much as a roller. I had to really push to feel like it was doing anything for the Allure Vinyl I was installing. I really think it is a waste of money. You can walk on the vinyl and get a better seal. Save your money. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Indispensable. Solid, well made, and worked as one would expect for a simple tool. Installed carpet on concrete floor in two rooms and used this roller to ensure good adhesion. Also used it to ensure a good bond on some laminate countertop that I installed on a workbench. The roller worked equally well on both jobs. December 29, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It was "OK" , and that's it. I used this to lay one small room of tile. The room was so small I really didn't want to rent a full size roller and using a kitchen "made in china" rolling pin does NOT work. LOL. This did the job, but by the end of the job the rollers sounded like metal was grinding and I could see it warp when I put weight on it. So, it worked for this small job, but went in the trash when the job was done. So, the yes I would recommend this is based on what I used it for... If you plan a serious job, don't waste your money.
