I've used a few of these pull bars and they all seem to get real banged up. They only last for one floor and they're done.
Not this one. It's HEAVY DUTY and has a wide lip that secures well against the plank. This is key as it prevents slippage.
I did a fairly small size kitchen (12ft x 12ft from wall to wall but actual floor was probably 12 x 5 or 7) and it did not slip once. Of course, this also has to do a bit with using the correct technique.
I'm a do-it-yourself homeowner so I can only make assumptions about it's performance as a tool for a crew but from what I can see it seems like it would last a long while. (It is very heavy though so I don't see it being carried in anyone's tool belt.)
It makes a very loud noise when tapping it so either find a way to muffle it our wear ear plugs and clear the house. After 2 hours of installing our floor, I regret not wearing them.

Worked as designed. Makes it easy to put those last pieces in up next to the wall with no hassle.

Worked great installing a new hardwood floor in a 14x18 room. Made the job of closing seams on the last board in each row much easier. Recommend you buy and add small felt pads to the underside to absolutely minimize any chance of damaging a board or multiple boards.

This tool was vital to our flooring project. If we weren't careful, it would leave black scuff marks on the floor but that was probably user error.

Listen if you're planning on leaving HD or any other competitor without this tool, then stop and turn yourself around, and if you're at home struggling with the install especially on the edges then get in your car and drive however long it takes to your local HD for this item. This is the one most important tool in your arsenal for floor installation. If you don' buy it, you might as well get back in your LazyBoy and call it a day. Stop being cheap and buy the Pro Pull Bar!
