Rated 1 out of 5Â by Laurabelle RUINED my hardwood floor when moving
When moving into my new home I used this product on my hardwood floor. Left it on overnight until everything was moved in and once we removed the adhesive, it took up some of the hardwood floor. Absolutely ruined it! Now I have to have it refinished. I DO NOT recommend this product.

Just moved into our new home with BRUCE pre-finished hardwood flooring. Went to Home Depot and purchased and installed 'Roberts' hard-surface temporary protective film to protect our new floor from the mover's foot traffic.
When we removed the Roberts protective film it pulled up and removed the surface gloss coat of the BRUCE flooring. The result is a REALLY ugly appearance. The floor looks like it is 20+ years old rather than 20- days old. The flooring sub-contractor says he has never seen this problem with BRUCE pre-finished flooring.

This product caused more harm to the floor finish than I would have had without using any.It was only on for less than 18 hours and removed the floor finish with the "floor protection".Would not recommend unless you are planning on refinishing or replacing the floor when you are done.

I purchased and installed for my move in. It took a few tries to get the hang of laying it down with one person. With two it would be a breeze. I also cut sections to protect the stairway. Results - not a scratch on the hardwood floors after the move. I rolled it up carefully and saved cleaning time too. I hindsight, I would have protected the toe risers on the stairs and not just the treads. I had to clean the faces due to toe hits from shoes. Worth the time and expense....

Protects New Floors During subsequent work. It's a little tricky to lay down. If you take your time it works well.
