Customer Questions & Answers

can this be used on quartz?

Asked by: curious
I would assume it could. However, we only have only used it on granite. We have not quartz but if we did I would not hesitate.

Is this safe for quartz countertops?

It would help if it specifically said quartz on the can.
Asked by: mawcoffey
According to the manufacturer this is safe for all non-porous stone materials. Quartz exists in my granite counters and I have no complaints. Specific verbiage on the can: "Rock-it Oil Stone is a laboratory proven, new generation, environmentally friendly cleaning product specifically designed for cleaning granite and marble counter surfaces. This product is formulated to clean all grease, grime and food residue from the counter surface and leave it sparkling clean. Because of the NANOSCIENCE, rock-it Stone cleans below the surface like no other cleaner. Other uses: Rock-it Oil Stone can also be used on any non-porous surfaces such as high pressure laminates, vinyl, baked enamel, metal and fiberglass. You can use it for all stone surfaces. It is a non-toxic, odorless and is PH neutral, which means it is safe for you and the environment." Hopefully this helps.

16 oz. Stone Countertop Cleaner is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product RE: Rockit Oil 16 oz. Stone Countertop Cleaner My granite counter tops get the usual daily cleanings after meals, etc. This is a good product for a deep cleaning to remove the dirt, grease, grunge, etc that the daily cleanings miss. Be sure to use a soft cloth so not to scratch the counter tops. I also like that it's a bio-degradable and environmentally friendly product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Cleaner That Helps Maintain & Improve The Finish of Stone Surfaces I have to admit that I originally got this for my new granite counters and it is a great product for granite, especially to remove grease and fine dirt. The directions are simple. Shake the can, spray it on and wait for the foam to do its job and then wipe off with a micro fiber cloth (I used a soft cotton towel and it worked fine). When you are wiping up the foam, you are also doing a little bit of polishing as there is a fine compound in the foam. However, after using it on granite where it works well, I would say to use this on marble and other smooth stone surfaces as it is a superior remover of light oil stains and grime on nonporous materials. While trying it out on the granite, I just tested it on the stainless appliances and it worked very well on those which I later found to be one of the recommended surfaces to use this on. I have not tested it yet on the other materials that the manufacturer states were tested in a laboratory setting but I would feel comfortable using it on those and they are all stone surfaces, high pressure laminates, vinyl, baked enamel, metal and fiberglass.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Typical Stone Cleaner Used this Rockit Stone Cleaner on my granite countertops expecting to see a marked improvement in the way they looked. After cleaning the surfaces with it I tried to buff it with my microsoft cloth expecting that it would really Rock It. I could see no difference between using this product and Fantastic on it. Since its designed for stone surfaces I was hoping for something that really amazed me, but it didn't. Although our granite countertops are almost 12 years old they have always looked really good and shiny because we have taken good care of them. Maybe I was expecting a shine that is better than what they already have and shouldn't have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy way to clean granite countertops Although the kitchen countertops get spot cleaned all the time the entire surface needs a good clean job every so often. The hardest part of this task was getting all the clutter off the countertops. After that applying a nice even coat of Rock-it Oil Stone to the surface and letting it set for a few minutes (up to 5 minutes as per the instructions) is the next step. After that wipe off the surface with a damp microfiber cloth and then followup with a dry microfiber cloth to polish and you're done. Even though the countertops looked clean initially the microfiber cloths indicated otherwise. Due to the busy countertop pattern the before and after photos don't show the difference but you can easily feel the difference by sliding your hand across the surface.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A quick way to bring your granite countertop back to new shine This Stone Countertop Cleaner by Rockit Oil is easy to use and super effective to clean up grease on countertop and dirt on marbles. I am not clear with the claimed Nano Science technology but I do see after the application for about 5 minutes and simply wiped it off and voilà!! Cleanliness!!! I also tried it on the exterior of microwave and it seems to do its wonder, too. I like that its non-toxic and odorless which is different from other similar cleaners. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Agree with many other reveiwers. This works great on all Stone & Marble. I love to clean my countertops now! This makes them look better than ever. I agree with many of the other reviewers stating that it is 5 stars. It seems to remove my grease, dirt, & grime with no trouble at all. It does not leave a nasty after film at all! It is definitely worth having in my kitchen. I've used it on marble countertops as well. The bottle seems to last a while, also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well. We have stone floors in our bathrooms and laundry room, as well as stone countertops. The stone on our countertops and one of our bathrooms is granite, so that's more durable. But the other bathroom and laundry room are marble. Marble is softer, and so is more subject to wear and tear, and over time losing its shine and luster. I used this product on the granite, and it polishes up nicely, but it was already shiny, but it will be good for catching stains before they're more permanent. On the marble, while it won't restore the original shine, it does clean well, and comparing the treated surface with untreated, I find the treated surface to be noticeably smoother feeling. And it does look slightly shinier. I feel that if I had used this all along the marble would now be shinier. But After it's having lost some of its luster, mechanically polishing will likely be the best way to restiore the original shine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow - Like new Rock-it Oil Stone is a really good product despite its silly name. I applaud the company for having its priorities right by putting its effort into its product and not into its name. This is the first specialized cleaner we have used and it does an outstanding job. We have 4 granite counter tops and one large granite table top. We are obviously very partial to granite. It's because of the striking appearance it creates with its shades of color along with its durability to ware. However, it does get dirty and over time the seal coat can lose some of its luster. Until we tried this product we used standard household cleaners and in our ignorance were satisfied. Where this cleaned differentiated itself with us, was with a black onyx bar top. Black onyx shows water stains more vividly than anything else. On a bar where there is always food and drink there is going to be a lot of mopping up with a wet cloth that results in water stains. Initially we tried Rock-it Oil Stone (Ha Ha) as we would any other cleaned just to see how it worked.. We spotted the stains and afterwards notice a difference between that spot and the rest of the bar. We ended up reading the instructions and cleaning the entire bar just like you would if you were applying a new seal coat. It worked beautifully. Be sure to spray it on evenly as possible which required us to work the bar in sections Give it 4 to 5 minutes then buff it off with a clean microfiber cloth. The buffing is important because you want to remove any streaks that might be left behind. We used almost the whole can on the bar. Afterwards we went out and bought some more. Then created a schedule to do the rest of the counter tops in the house
