Answer:
I can not imagine using this saw as a wet saw, mine works perfectly for what it's intended for and water will more than likely harm the unit, I suggest that you don't get water near the motor or anything electronic, however this is a great little saw and I'm glad that I purchased it, good luck with your project.

Answer:
My personal answer would be "no". This unit runs on approx 120 volts. Even though I really like using my X2, I would not use it with any water around (any nearby water sources; standing in water; using it in the rain; cutting damp or wet wood...).

I would use a wet tile saw myself. They are built and designed to operate with water in a controlled way. A complete different type of tool.

I cut mostly soft wood, but at times I do cut Oak wood. It is usually 1/2" - 3/4" thick. For me, it does cut good although I don't rush the cut (push the wood thru too fast) or it will bog down some. Overall, it's worked great for me.

Answer:
The Blade Runner cuts hard woods about the same way that a corded jigsaw would cut them. If you can cut it with a corded jigsaw, you can cut it with the Blade Runner in roughly the same amount of time. I can rip a 6' length of 3/4" oak in about 60 seconds. This is definitely a case where better blades produce faster cuts.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect It is an excellent tool. It is very useful in my working environment. October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I wanted/needed!! I've been wanting a jigsaw, scroll and a tablesaw. Due to finances I couldn't afford them but this will definitely work. So far I've used it as a tablesaw and a jigsaw, and it worked fantastically. It was a great addition to my little craft shop. September 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good product. Seems to have plenty of power, as currently I am using reclaimed oak for a project. An excellent addition to any woodworking shop. However I am having trouble getting the control arm to stay exactly in the position required for the current project I am working on. In all fairness I took this out of the box, assembled and started using it without reading the manual that came with it. I plan to read through the manual and perhaps this will not be a problem at all. September 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great little saw! I had been thinking about a table saw (mostly for hobby and trim work) for a while, but full-size models are too large and not as versatile as this one. It has already proven to be a great little saw and worth the money. September 20, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't meet my needs. I purchased this saw online,it claimed it could rip, crosscut and miter. Well it probably would be good for crafts not laminate flooring. October 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Coolest buy ever!!!! Used it the day after I opened on a big home siding project. Everyone was impressed with how well it worked and it's portability but they were also jealous that they didn't have one! GREEAAT price and a FANTASTIC tool! ROCKWELL RULES!!! September 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Will Not Cut Straight Lines or Angles will not cut straight lines or angles which defeats the purpose of the saw to begin with. I can Cut straighter lines with a sawzall. the blade also leans while cutting a 90 degree angle. better to save up get a table saw and chop saw. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very useful and handy tool I've wanted to be able to cut wood to make things forever. This saw enables me to make nice straight cuts (and will try fancier cuts later) easily. I've completed one project and am halfway through the second and am enjoying working with the saw. It feels much safer and easier to use than a circular saw. The assembly directions were a bit strange...pictures only with no description and the pictures were not clear, but I finally figured it out. September 13, 2016
