Answer:
No; The front and back are dovetailed to the sides (the best way). There are other depths available. Only the width is variable by cutting the grooved front, back, and bottom.

Answer:
The first issue you will have is that the drawer glides are metal and are designed for a 22" depth. You'd have to buy the right size drawer glides separately. And while it's certainly possible to cut the drawer sides and bottom to a shallower depth, it seems like a good bit of extra work and time to do that versus finding drawers that will work with your cabinet depth without modification.

Answer:
They roll out on wheels, but be aware the left cabinet slide bar does not have a curved hook to capture the wheel in the same way as the right guide. Unles you are precise in your installation, and ensure it's tight against the wheel it will fall out.

Answer:
The slides use two nylon rollers, one in the front and one in the back. The rollers are captured in grooves. To remove the shelf after mounting, you gently lift up and then down the shelf at the end of its travel. It is harder to describe than it is to do it.

Basically, there are two ways to use this drawer in a bottom-mount situation:

2) Assuming your island has some room to each side of where you plan to put the drawer, you could build some simple mounts that the included slides could be attached to. Take 1x3 or 2x3 lumber, cut two pieces that will fit on each side of where you plan to install the drawer, running front to back in your island. Set the distance between these two "side mounts" so that the drawer, with the included slides attached, will just fit between the mounts. This is the approach I took when I installed my drawers under my garage workbench -- check out the attached picture to see what I'm talking about.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by They look nice but they need help to install and work right Throw the instructions away and use common sense. Rails are flimsy and need to be reinforced with wooden strips otherwise drawer may collapse under heavy load. Use small finishing nails and drywall screws instead of fasteners provided. Drawer bottom provided is not rectangular so two cuts are instead of one. July 22, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best design Bought one to try, and while it worked was disappointed in the design of the left track that does not hook the wheel and allowed the drawer to easily fall out if not tight against the wheel. With that done we found that it appeared to work ok. We then ordered 4 more to complete the cabinet to have all rolling drawers instead of the shelves. Here is where we noticed more drawbacks. There is no weight listed for the drawer, but found that when loading the drawers with heavier items, (I.e. Filling it with cans,) the track would slightly sway outward as we pulled it out allowing the drawer to fall out dropping into a lower shelf. We resolved this problem by cutting a board to fit beside the guide and cabinet side to prevent it from bending away from the drawer. So far the screws seem to be holding, but do have concerns as they are very small. We replaced the front screws with longer ones as they carried more weight when the drawer is pulled out. Overall there are some things that can be improved on the design, but if you are somewhat handy at modifying things you'll find the drawers workable. Certainly not an easy install. August 30, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Easy assembly The product was easy to put together but it needed stronger drawer slides. After a week the ones included began to bend and fail so I spent another 15 bucks on stronger slides. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome!! These shelves were awesome to install. Instructions were easy to understand and led you step by step. I purchased two of them and had them installed within an hour after I assembled the slides. Great product. Would purchase again. August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great kit Had to do a bit of fiddling to get this to fit our cabinet (had to add some 1x2's to the side of the cabinet) but this was no different from the roll-out that was installed when cabinet was built. I used this as an upper shelf in a large cabinet that had a lot of empty air-space and was pretty much wasted otherwise. By adding this shelf I was able to move most of my pots into this cabinet making them much more handy for cooking. Installation took my non-carpenter husband about 3 hours not counting the trip to the store to get the 1x2's. Only one trip to a store my husband always considers this a mark of success and ease! LOL May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great kitchen improvement project The rolling shelf comes with easy to comprehend instructions and high quality materials. this was an easy project that I recommend. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy Installation was a snap. I wish all projects were this simple. June 14, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Did not meet expectations Assembled and installed the drawer in the cabinet per the instructions. Screwed the brackets to the rear of the cabinet and slid the drawer in its place. When I pulled the drawer out, the front tracks spread out as there's nothing supporting them to prevent them from doing so. In order to remedy the situation, I'm going to place a wood block on both sides to keep the tracks in place and to prevent any side movement. Other than that, I find it to be a good value and aside from the fore-mentioned, it should serve the purpose intended. April 26, 2016
