Does this have a diverter for a wall-mounted shower? I'll be using the Delta Lahara roman tub faucet. Thanks.

Answer:
Hi Mike,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # R2707 has a preferred method of installation and that is soldering. However, if shark bite connectors are used and they can pass inspection in your area, then they will work too.
Thanks.

Answer:
Hi Brett,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # R2707 has stem cartridges that will have tabs on one side. These tabs need to be on the right side for both the hot and cold for the handles to work correctly.
Thanks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Valve review Valve body was bigger than it replaced, needed to do some carpentry to get it to clear the wood frame going around the tub. Original valve body was metal, this one is plastic, concerned me enough to use shark bite fittings instead of risking melting it with a torch and solder. Flexible 1/2 in lines to the valve are stiff and difficult to bend into the compound curve I needed for proper alignment. Valve clamps to the tub use a jack-screw design that will jump out of the track or go crooked unless you are very careful when tightening. HD sells a 1/2in spring loaded tubing cutter by "Husky" that easily cut the pipe square and can be operated with one hand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dripping immediately after install! Installation took some extra steps, as I installed into pre-existing holes on my Roman tub and could not bend the supply lines at all in the space I had to work with. But installation was easy enough as I've been building homes all my life. I am however very disappointed to find that this began a slow drip from the Ashlyn trim spout as soon as I turned the water supply back on. Tore the trim off and checked all valves for tightness, everything was good. Still dripping.......never had this happen with a new setup!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from DIY...Mixed Emotions I am nearly finished renovating a shower/bath as a DIY project and not a professional by any means. I liked the quality but for many, this is a job best left for a plumber. To cut to the chase, the rough-in requires sweat fittings. If you have never done this before, don't practice on this fixture. I have done a few sweats before but had a lot of difficulty with this one. After ruining a few copper connectors, I went back to Home Depot to get fresh flux (mine was 15 years old) and solder as well as new fittings I required. The associate at Home Depot showed me a better way. If you do this DIY, consider their Sharkbite series of connectors. They are expensive but make the plumbing just an insert and click. This made the install go quickly and easily with no sweating. The other issue I had was the length of the flexible tubes. The manual says the valves can be placed at 8" minimum apart to about 16" max. Due to space restrictions I had to settle for 8.5". That requires the tubes to be bent fairly tightly and it is a compound bend at that (double recurve for a close spacing). These are easy to kink so be careful. In all, the product installed fairly easily but read the instructions carefully before you begin. The install is not very forgiving if you mess up. On completion, I had no leaks and am pleased thus far.
