I was excited to install this new curved shower curtain rod in my shower. The instructions seemed simple enough for an experienced DIY guy like myself and the manufacturer made the amount of parts small enough to make for a quick project. I did find the instructions hard to follow since the pictures were not sharp and the explanations aren't very technical, they're more like the longhand of the designer who assumes the buyer would be on the same page. I found some faults in the design that made it very hard to work with. First, the pins that hold the shower rod to the wall mount brackets aren't secured on the ends and they can easily just fall out. This happened to me upon installation and I wasted 10 minutes finding it. Second, the rotation of the rod is very stiff and requires a lot of force and effort to turn. Doing so, even with care, completely ripped the left side wall mount out of my wall. (Please see pictures). I followed these instructions to the letter and still find myself going back to the store to buy a drywall patch kit. I'll be going back to the standard shower curtain rod and throwing this piece in the recycling bin. I do not recommend this product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Peyton Very nice design and good functionality
Nice design. The shower curtain stands away from you while in the shower and is out of the way while while standing in the bathroom at the vanity. With dual hooks (one for the liner and the other for the shower curtain itself) it is even better. See HD on line for the latter.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fastniky Wow, what a great idea!
This idea is great! It was really easy to install. Read the instructions before hand. I tried putting a screw in the middle hole, it's not a mounting hole for a screw! I was worried about my wall width. My walls are five foot and one inch. The black accents are the rotating balls. It does not matter about the width size because the black balls hide the overage! There is an adjustment at the end that allows for a lot of space! All you do is pull out what you need! The overage is covered under the Brushed nickel hood at the end, so you never see the extended part!
Also, the nice thing was that the curtain "flips" toward the tub. This lets you rinse your swim wear and let it drip dry! I also use it for my bib overalls. It's sturdy enough to hold them too!

I was intrigued by the rotating option and it works very well. We often have swimsuits that need to drip dry and this fits that need without having the drips on the outside of the tub. It's sturdy and installs relatively easily. We installed over tile, so it took a tad longer, but that's the surface not an issue with the rod itself.
It is pricey for a shower rod, but the rotating is an extra and it makes the rod functional for more than just a rod. It's sturdy and the curve does provide a bit more room in the shower. It especially makes a difference if you have a narrow tub/shower area.
It would be nice if the rotating ball was brushed nickel, but since I got the black accent it doesn't look that bad. I think the white would be more noticeable.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Micah Best shower accessory ever for those without tub/shower doors!
I absolutely love this thing! No more slimy shower curtain sticking to my arm as I try to shower. I just curve it out while showering for a few extra inches of elbowroom and then curve it back in to allow it to drain and dry a little but easier when I'm done! I wish I had one of these things when I was a kid. Such a simple idea and yet so nice to have!

This is no ordinary curtain rod. It's design is Great. Just like advertised it twist in or out. If you ever been in the shower with a door or window open and the wet curtain sucks up against you, then you will love this rod. Twist out when showering and the curtain stays out. Great brushed nickel finish and no more hump where rod comes together. Curtain slides easily on rod. Great Shower Rod. Easy to install.
