Noticed a small patch of poison ivy growing on the backyard fence and researched effective treatments to kill it. I settled on Round Up Poison Ivy Plus Tough Brush Killer the concentrated form. I have other plants in the area but I liked that if need be I could replant in 30 days. My main concern was and is eradicating the poison ivy. It worked great! Now I have dead, dry poison ivy vines that I will carefully remove and bag in a few days. Very pleased with this product.

When mixed per directions it is NOT effective on blackberry and other tough weeds/brush. It will kill grass and fragile plants in 5 days. Very disappointing because Roundup used to produce a good brush killer. Not true for current product even though it says that it kills tough brush.

I had vines taller than I stand 4'11", sprayed them from the top, Poison travels through the vine, It must get to the root. It didn't happen overnight, but daily progress showed leaves dying from the top to bottom more and more each day.

All of the cautions say it will kill anything; however, I am still waiting for even the poison ivy to look bad. Did I fertilize it with this product? I have tried other products which work IMMEDIATELY. Maybe in a week or so this will work because it costs enough.

This is my go to product to get rid of poison ivy. With almost 3 acres of property including wooded areas this really takes care of the problem quickly and efficiently. A single treatment rids the area of the pesty and problem causing weed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Last summer we decided to buy a house that had been sitting vacant for two years. Needless to say, the weeds and ivy had taken over everything and there was no stopping it. After a round of Roundup, our problem was solved.

I have a mound of bamboo that was growing non-stop. the area was about 3 ft by 3 ft. I tried to dig it up and could not budge it. there is also a fence next to the bamboo which made removing it tough. I poured the entire bottle of this concentrate directly on the bamboo and then piece of plastic on top and secured the plastic with a few heavy rocks to keep it in place. the plastic keeps rain from diluting the concentrate and it also suffocates the bamboo. IT TOTALLY WORKED! no bamboo grew back. you could use big trash bags as the plastic covers. I left the plastic on for a few weeks just to be sure the bamboo didn't grow back. it's been a month or more and still the bamboo is dead. but I still can't dig it out of the ground. I thought the roots would be dead and easier to remove, but i'm going to keep trying periodically and hopefully over time it the roots will detach more from the ground.

In NorthEast Ohio, Portage county, Kentucky Pokeweed is about as indestructable and tenacious as they come. Root zones 3 feet deep and massive. Several treatments with Roundup, on about 600 sq. ft., got things undercontrol over a period of about two months. I judiciously applied with a one on one application with no overspray, resulting in no collateral damage.
I typically hesitate to use weed killers, but RoundUp did a great, almost surgically perfect job.
Thanks Scotts and I hope this wins,
